“You get what you pay for”

The location was nice and close to restaurants in the area. Free parking was a plus. On the downside, the elevators were very slow. The room was average. The most aggravating part was the fact that we left our room aroun 7:30 AM on Friday and returned just after 3:00PM and it still had not been cleaned.

“Has its Pros and Cons”

For someone accustomed to business class hotels, the Daniele could be a challenge. First, the negatives. This place is old and it shows. Wood furniture was literally falling apart, and lamp shades literally fell off the lamps due to fabric fatigue. Drapery was held to the wall with a nail. Very rusty and marginally adjustable AC unit. None of the drink or snack machines worked. On the positive side, the room was clean, quiet and dark. The hotel is in a quiet and seemingly safe part of town, and within walking distance (2-3 blocks) of several very nice restaurants. The night desk man was also extremely helpful. One gets the impression that the owner will not spend anything for renovations, but the staff are doing their best to make up for it. If you are not too demanding, and get a good price, it may meet your needs.

“Some strengths, some weaknesses”

The Daniele is like a refined old dowager gone a little to seed - a bit frayed around the edges, but still some evidence of quality. If you can look past chipped paint and mismatched furniture, a good place to stay in the heart of a wonderful community.

“OK, but overrrated”

The ratings for this hotel appear to be inflated. My room was worn, outdated, and generic and front desk service was spotty. Location is good - mostly quiet neighbor within easy walking distance to many restaurants and clubs. But, if you are expecting an outstanding and charming boutique hotel, you may be disappointed.

“Has the potential to be a good hotel, but...”

We booked a King room and was given a double. The air didn't work and I was offered a fan, if they could find one. They couldn't find a fan, so they finally switched our room...to a King size which they didn't have before. Seemed kind of odd. Had a non-smoking room, but the hallway was full of smoke, which made part of our room smell like smoke. The one good thing was that it's a great a location for a lot of different little restaraunts within walking distance. Nice showers and comfortable bed.

“will not return if there are other options”

although the bed was fine, the bathroom was outdated and general cleanliness of the room left much to be desired.

“Not for tall people”

The hotel has eight-foot ceilings, so it is a bit claustrophobic. While the room was clean, it was in need of repair: heating and bathroom were not in the best shape. There was no hotel information provided in room, and the pool is seasonal (closed the day before we arrived!). Worth a stay only if you get a good deal.

“not impressed.”

this hotel was not as nice as the photos and online description led us to believe. the rooms were old and dark. poor lighting throughout. the air conditioning unit was unusable-we had to call maintenance to adjust the temperature, and the man left a giant wrench in our room so we could adjust it later (the 2nd night he took the wrench with him so we couldn't adjust it at all). carpet was about 100 years old. the overall decor was old and dingy looking. not impressed, is all i can say. they need to completely renovate this dump.

“Not Recommended”

Upon walking into the lobby it seemed nice. We then moved to our room where there was a dead spider hanging from the wall. The walls were dirty and there was not enough towels. When asking for more towels I felt like a nuisance. When calling to the front desk, the phone was never answered. Sorry, I don't recommend this place.
