Friendly and Comfortable
A warm welcome. Refurbished, comfortable room with a good shower. Good quality linen and towels. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Well placed in the town, also lovely views from the garden.

We had a fantastic two night stay here. The highlight was the terrace and sesting area with amazing views of the countryside. We were in the area for a wedding but also went on some lovely countryside walks. Friendly and helpful staff. Can highly recommend!

Lovely Ancient Coaching Inn
This was a lovely ancient coaching inn, and we were staying in the converted stables. Very tight to get through the arch into the carpark if you have a wide car. Although there was no garden with a great view over the countryside

Rooms 1,2 & 3 while having pleasant views of the High St, are over the hotel bar. One night of our stay, the merriment went on till a little after midnight. Parking is available, however, with an SUV, the side mirrors had to be parked, in order to get through the carriage way access, to the parking area and this with just about 2" to spare, on either side! Did it just the once!!! High street parking is free 6pm - 8pm, if you can find a spot.

Comfortable, cosy, stylishly furnished bedroom and en-suite. A little noisy until after last orders but a very friendly crowd. No breakfast but an excellent coffee shop/cafe just a few metres up the street. Narrow access to the parking but can still get a wide car through carefully, and plenty of space on the street.

Great short trip to Malmesbury
We had a great time in Malmesbury. The Kings Arms is a lovely older style pub with very friendly staff. We stayed in the converted stable rooms which are located at the rear of the pub. The stable rooms are modern with everything you need for a short stay. We have stayed before at the Kings Arms and hope to again if visiting the area.

Arrived expecting to park my van in the car park. 6ft 6in height limit put paid to that. Long term town car park 10 minute drive at the bottom of the hill. Expected to stay in stables on ground floor for my disabled wife. Actual room up two set if stairs and no assistance offered in trying to secure a ground floor room. Expected a full menu for dinner. Actual offering Tapas. Not the best experience!

One of the rooms outside of the main building. Very comfortable and clean room. Area for improvement: the 8am or 8:30am bottle emptying from the pub woke us up. Not what we wanted on a BH Monday. Would definitely recommend the pub and the rooms though.

Stayed one night on business. Room was quite nice, v clean. Dinner was good, slightly noisy at night, I assume it was a cleaner or another guest. Otherwise it’s a perfectly fine place that matches its price point perfectly. Can recommend the area and dinner here.

Requested connecting rooms, no connecting rooms were given. We stayed on a Friday night when live music was playing, there are rooms at the back of the property that were all vacant. We were given rooms above the music venue overlooking the street. Not only could we "enjoy" the live music, but we were also able to "enjoy" the sound of everyone leaving the venue to go home... we will not be staying here again.

We were one of the first customers after the re-opening there were a few teething issues and situations but the team were ever so accommodating and really helpful we would recommend very very highly a stay here we do wish all the very best success and if we ever go that way again we would be staying at the Kings arms

The booking with Expedia for the Kings Arms hotel was made way back in September 2018 since then the Managers/tenants changed hands and the new incumbents did not seem to have been briefed on any outstanding books. They have been and are still refurbishing the Kings Arms , fortunately for us they were alerted by our booking a few weeks before our arrival and they then concentrated on the refurbishment of our two rooms. We were full of admiration for the present incumbents and they deserve to be complimented by Expedia for the urgency they put in to accommodate us.

Badly let down by hotel.com and Arkel l breweries
I will never attempted to stay here , we arrived and the premises was closed for a refurb , I arrived 1 hr after a email was sent advising me that the business was closed , we had driven 3hrs to get there so as I was driving could not check emails , besides the point I had received emails from hotel .com during the week leading up reminding me of my booking at no point did anybody contact us either from the hotel/pub brewery arkels or hotel .com web site to tell us there was a problem , when we arrived It was obvious that the refurb had been going on for several weeks We found out from the local tourist information office that we were not the first guests to be left in this situation there had been others that day and probably more to follow I can only advise that the overall owners the brewery arkels and hotel .com can not be trusted and should be avoided so to avoid tears and stress that we went through

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The scrambled eggs we had for breakfast were perfectly cooked and the G&Ts we had in the bar were wonderful. The room was very clean, but the decor was a bit tired and we could have done with another bedside light. Also the access to the car park was very narrow which was a bit scary!
