“Not bad, not bad at all”
This was perfect for a one night stay. Big comfy bed, cheap cab ride from the airport (LGA) and in a nice enough neighborhood. Within walking distance from a bunch of different restaurants (pizza, asian, american; liquor stores galore!). We opted for a nice Vietnamese place that was well-priced and good. Pretty close to trains as well, not a place I would stay for more than a few nights but a cozy place to lay your head.
“Great place!”
It was a great place to stay, very clean and nice. The room was very tiny, but in a place like NY, you don't need to be in the room except to sleep and shower, so size wasn't a problem. The only issue might be the really really small parking lot. I drove in and utilized the parking lot, but you might want to call and make sure they have space for your car.
“Good Hotel for the location and price”
Although the rooms were pretty small for a family of four, The stay was comfortable and conveinent. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous.
“I enjoyed my stay”
My room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
“a good place to get sleep”
this hotel is very easy to find, parking is free until 2pm, the room is clean but small. how can you ask too much for this money?
“DIAMOND EXPRESS INN, "IN THE ROUGH"”
I recently stayed at the Howard Johnson Express Inn, in Long Island Queens in the 1st week of March AND THE HOTEL WAS VERY NICE. No, joke it even shocked my girlfriend whom had never been to New York and even she was empressed. And, there was no noise while we were asleep. They keep the room clean everyday. No, one ever disturbed us not even other guest. The, subway way was only like a ten minute walk and it connected to everything. And, there was some decent cafe's and pizza parlors. THE HOWARD JOHNSON EXPRESS INN, ON QUEENS BLVD. WAS AND IS A "DIAMOND EXPRESS INN, "IN THE ROUGH".....
“Great little Queens hotel”
For the price, this was a great place to stay on my one night layover in New York. Room was small, but clean and cozy. Since this was a layover, I wasn't interested in anything other than a place to sleep and something to eat. There were several local restaurants that delivered. Staff was congenial.
“Affordable, comfortable and reasonable! Definately a revisit!”
We arrived very early and they were able to accomodate us with a room right away. The rooms were clean and excellent with coffee maker in the room. The staff was helpful and always brought us towels when we asked no matter what time. It was nice and close to the train which made it easy to get in and out of Manhattan easily. I highly recommend this hotel to people travelling to NY and don't want to pay a lot of money. We had a great stay!
“Can't wait to go back!”
It was a nice area and the hotel was very nice and clean.
