Upon arrival we were greeted & checked into a great room on the 8th floor pretty easily. Unfortunately, once we got into the room it was a freezer. We cranked the heat up & waited. After about an hour it just got colder. We realized it was blowing cold air, not hot air. We immediately notified the staff via their “text” option they have posted all over the room. Someone named “Earl” assured us someone would take care of the issue, so we waited…. And waited…. In our coats under blankets literally freezing…. And waited… no one came; they stopped texting & responding to us. After about 30minutes of waiting with no response to our texts, I decided to call. The phone is answered & immediately placed on hold… so I wait. Eventually someone comes on the phone & states that no one was notified in maintenance of the issue, that Earl “got busy with other things” and we were basically forgotten. We said at this point we just want a different room (keep in mind it’s -30 outside as well) so without heat the room gets cold fast! We were first told we could not be moved rooms… we refused to accept this & asked for another room. Eventually we were moved to a room on the back side of the hotel, 4th floor. We requested for management to contact us. We stayed 2 nights & did not hear from management at all. Incredibly disappointing. Our “new” room was toasty, thankfully but very dirty. The trash cans did not have trash bags, there was hair in the bath tub, on the sinks & counter!
