Alameda
Alameda’s waterfront offers ferries to San Francisco along with expansive views of the city’s skyline. The 12.4 square mile island is close to Oracle Arena and McAfee Coliseum where Oakland’s three major league teams play. Historic buildings distinguish downtown’s Park Street, popular for its boutiques and restaurants while the tree-lined residential streets feature well-preserved Victorian homes.

Castro Valley
Hills and parks surround this suburban city while a BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station provides convenience. Lake Chabot is a hidden treasure for fishing and boating. Anthony Chabot Regional Park surrounds the lake and offers more than 5,000 acres of hiking and bicycle trails. In the adjacent city of San Leandro, visitors can tour Casa Peralta, a Spanish-style villa and historic landmark.

Emeryville
A San Francisco suburb, Emeryville in Alameda County is in the corridor between Oakland and Berkeley. It is home to several biotech and software companies. Downtown San Francisco is 9 miles away.

Hayward
