Motu Ome
This small, relatively isolated island in the north is renowned as the place to get away from it all and rub shoulders with the rich and famous. Only a 15-minute boat transfer from the airport, the exclusive nature of the St Regis Resort has established the motu as one of Bora Bora’s most luxurious escapes.

Motu Piti Aau
Some of the best scuba diving is right here! The island’s resorts are well-positioned to take advantage of the dramatic views, with Mount Otemanu on Bora Bora’s main island providing a picturesque postcard backdrop. Sea turtle protection and rehabilitation work is conducted to the north and shuttle boat transfers operate regularly to the main island over approximately 15 km (9.3 miles). The Thalasso full-service day spa is located here, in addition to horseback excursions for riders of all levels.

Motu Tevairoa
Although excellent dive sites abound right across Bora Bora, Motu Tevairoa has earned a reputation as one of its best. Marine-rich scuba dives for all grades are available, while an established dive centre offers equipment hire, courses, and escorted dive tours. This motu is the largest of the flat islets dotting the outer reef of Bora Bora, and the closest to the airport, which can be reached in less than 10 minutes by boat transfer.

Motu Toopua
Offering an idyllic and secluded atmosphere, the small southwest island of Motu Tupua features only two resorts, positioned at opposing ends of the isle with excellent full-service spa facilities. Relatively hilly, Motu Tupua takes in a view of Mount Pahia and is only a short shuttle boat transfer away from Bora Bora’s primary settlement of Vaitape on the main island.

Nunue
Located on the main island, the region of Nunue encompasses the southern peninsula of the main island and a range of accommodation options, from premium world-class resorts through to small family-run hotels and pensions. Here, travellers will discover intensely blue lagoons, up to 40 km (24.8 miles) stretches of thriving barrier reef, magnificent beaches, and easy access to dive centres.
