Fort Pierce
Fort Pierce is a beachside community along the Indian River, at the intersection of I-95 and the Florida Turnpike. Numerous marinas dot the shoreline of Fort Pierce Inlet; and area activities include fishing, kayaking, and diving. The original home of the Navy SEALs, Fort Pierce hosts the Navy UDT-SEAL Museum. Eight kiosks marking the Zora Neale Hurston Heritage Trail are spread throughout town.

Jensen Beach - Stuart
Jensen Beach is 9 miles east of Port St. Lucie, near the mouth of the St. Lucie River. The main public beach, “Jensen Sea Turtle Beach,” is on Hutchinson Island, fronting the Atlantic Ocean. Serving as the nesting ground for 3 species of sea turtles, the beach is also great for swimming, sunbathing, and surfing. Across the river, the city of Stuart is known as the “Sailfish Capital of the World.”

Port Saint Lucie
Port St. Lucie is 15 miles south of Fort Pierce, along Florida’s Treasure Coast. Golf is popular in St. Lucie County and the city is home to the PGA Village and PGA Learning Center. Numerous golf courses ring the city and are scattered throughout the surrounding area. Fishing is also popular along the Intracoastal Waterway, on the St. Lucie River, and on inland lakes.

Vero Beach
Vero Beach is on Florida’s Treasure Coast and boasts a number of excellent public beaches, such as South Beach and Jaycee Park. Indian River Lagoon passes through the town and area activities include boating, waterskiing, and fishing. The area is home to some of the most exclusive private country clubs in Florida.
