“Highly recommended”

I consider myself very lucky to have found this hotel for such a reasonable price. It is an older hotel with a pleasant 1970's vibe. It is located on S Main and the 6-10 loop and is surrounded by shops and restaurants. The rooms are slightly above average for what you would expect from a motel in this price-range, ours had a fridge and a microwave. The room was clean and spacious. The swimming pool was amazing as it was so huge - a rare find in Texas where a lot of pools are tiny pathetic things not big enough to swing a cat in. Of course the pool was empty most days as most Texans seem to hate the sun! That suited me fine, I spent many long hours swimming and relaxing. The staff were very helpful and the hotel provides 2 computers for guests to use. Would definitely return.

“Glad we went back again”

We stayed at this hotel the same time last year and are so glad we went back. If you appreciate a good sized pool to swim in, then I can't rave enough about this one. Also i love the convenient location of the place.You are never short of somewhere to go and eat! On the Sunday we were staying there they had some sort of religious meeting in the conference rooms and screams of "Jesus!" and "Lord!" coupled with much wailing and tambourine-clanging could be heard all over the hotel...funny. The staff are not that friendly to be honest, the receptionist who seems to cover most of the shifts is a young black man who is icily polite and coolly efficient but rather glacial in his dealings with guests.I never saw him crack a smile once. However, I will be back definitely, the hotel itself is so much to my liking, I really wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Houston!

“Awesome Weekend Stay!”

My Husband and I were very pleased with our stay. We were in town for the Houston Rodeo and the shuttle service was awesome! They got us to Reliant in 7 minutes and never a wait! This was the most stress free trip ever and the staff was very nice and accomadating. If you are looking for a standard quality of room, clean, no frills but easy access to lots of places...this is it! We ordered pizza and it was delivered in 15 minutes! The parking lot is very well lit and although the hotel was sold out the weekend we were there and the proximity of the freeway is very close....we never heard any noise from our room. We could not stop smiling while listening to our friends complain about having to fight traffic, long distance walking to the parking lot or their hotel charging $12 shuttle fee one way to get to Reliant for the BBQ Cookoff Championship! We will be back once the football season is under way and will be staying here again!

Breakfast was good. Room was clean everyday. good good good.

“Houston overnite.”

This hotel was clean and quiet but, nothing exceptional. It is obvious that the hotel is circa 1970's or '80's with all rooms opening to the outside. It had obviously been painted numberous times. I was told the only non-smoking king room left was on the second floor, the stairs to which were difficult for my wife and I to climb with luggage. I noticed that the parking lot was quite empty at early evening and expected many late arrivals since the hotel was apparently well booked for the evening. There were few late arrivals and very few additional vehicles in the parking lot late into the evening and at early morning. I was curious why I was led to believe that there were so few rooms remaining.

“Almost to the point of disgusted”

The hotel was in very poor condition. There were spots on the wall where cigarettes had been put out. There was a cabinet with a comb, hair, and a corn dog stick sitting on top when we got into our room. The maid came by early morning, said she would return yet never did. There was a live cockroach in the sink. Very questionable neighborhood.

they had roaches, and bad showers. but overall, it was pleasant.

“Horrible hotel”

First off before I even enter my room. A guy in the parking lot approched me trying to sell jewelery that was clearly stolen.I guess that should have been a sign of things to come.When me and my family finally opened the door to our room this hotel room was pretty nasty. The sheets and pillow cases were dirty. The bathroom tub and toilet were full of filth. I asked for a non smoking room. The room I got smelled the smoke and had smoked staind walls. Cigarette burns in the bathroom tub. The carpet was so dirty it was matted together. On the the bright side Expedia was great, They got my money back and set me up with another hotel which was great. As a warning to you all beware, Stay away from this place. Its clearly not a good Hotel and no place for respectable people.
