Close to the USMLE Step 2 CS testing centerPosted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Hot breakfast, proximity to USMLE Step 2 CS testing center
Cons: Furniture in rooms
Location: Restaurant at Park Inn, cold beer at the convenience store 3 blocks away
I booked the hotel for its proximity to the Houston USMLE Step 2 CS testing center, and was not disappointed. A mere 2 blocks walking on a paved path and I was there. The hotel itself does not have a restaurant, but its neighbor, Park Inn does. In addition, there are several fast food places and a mini mart just past the testing center, about 3 blocks away. The free breakfast was decent, one morning the hot offering was oatmeal, but the next day it was biscuits and gravy. Rooms are clean, but the furniture in my room showed some serious signs of wear and tear, the business chair was broken and uncomfortable. The hotel itself is undergoing some renovation, but I can assume you can expect that it will be even better when finished. Shuttles to and from the airport were convenient, and the staff was helpful when I had questions or when I forgot my toothbrush! Overall, a good place to stay if you are here for the Step 2 CS exam.

Noisy, slow, inefficient and outdated. Worst hotel stay in the past year (about 50 hotels)

OK - nothing to write home about.Posted Oct 18, 2014
Pros: The exit door.
Cons: The key card system.
Location: Plenty of highway traffic to listen to.
Problems everyday of 3 nights I stayed. The Key Cards needed to be re-keyed eight (8) times during the 3 night stay stay. With my room at the end of the hall, you can imagine it got old having to go back to the front desk over and over again. To have the problem persist you would also think they would move you to a room that had a good door key lock. Not my favorite place of any time.

Houston Hotel near GreenpointPosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Rennovation, new carpet, etc., better breakfast.
Location: Jimmy G's is a nice seafood restaurant, a bit expensive thought. Not much in surrounding area.
Free breakfast was disappointing. pancakes, cereal, bagels, - had bisquits and gravy first morning (OK), second morning, no protein - oatmeal where the bisquits and gravy were the first morning. Needs rennovation. Carpet is old - in the room was very worn and smelled moldy. Bathroom mirror was mounted too low - had to stoop to comb hair.

Nice hotel, friendly staffPosted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Free breakfast, free WIFI, free bus rides and the clean linen
Cons: Include egg in the breakfast
Location: The hotel is quite close to the airport and is surrounded by restaurants and neighborhood stores
I had a pleasant experience throughout my stay in the hotel and was particularly impressed by the very clean room and impressively white sheets and towels. With free breakfast, free WIFI and free bus shuttle to and fro the airport, mall and other nearby locations, I got more than enough value for my money.

Baymont Inn & SuitesPosted Aug 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
After a series of layovers, I arrived at 1:00 am to the hotel. I was informed that they did not have a room for me, as some were being cleaned. I waited for another 45 minutes until I was placed in a room. I could hear vacuums running well past 2am. Room was large, bed adequate, just displeased with the wait for my reserved room.

Got in very late (early next morning) night clerk spent forty agonizing minutes checking me in (couldn't code room key). I had a charge on my credit card that they couldn't explain, and have yet to reimburse. You decide.

Nice hotel with room service if you need itPosted Aug 3, 2014
I was here for a class and had a lot of studying to do a few nights. Having the room service from a nice restruant next door was a definite plus.
