“better than expected.”

Hotel was easy to find. However being familar with texas interstate roads helped alot. Someone who has never driven in texas may have some trouble. Room was very clean and much nicer then expected.only complaint was the bed pillows were very small.

Area recommendations

Woodlands area. Its very nice with lots of shopping and dinning. However it's about 30-40 minutes from downtown. But this can be to your advantage money wise since most things are cheaper then they are closer to the city.

“Right by 610--Excellent for the price!”

Everything was excellent. We drive in the night before our son has an appointment at the Medical Center. We get there within 30 minutes fron this hotel. I do not understand why guests cannot go into lobby after 11PM, though. It is literally locked. It might have something to do with the neighbor which appears a bit dodgy. Once you exit Mercury, get to the right quick. You only have one shot at the entrance as the second one has been blocked.

“Houston”

We were allowed to check in early which was very helpful. The staff at the desk was very friendly and professional. The only issue we encountered was that the key cards were tempermental and didn't always open the doors.

“Could have been better”

“I will stay again.”

The employees at the hotel were extremely nice. There were internet issues and they worked with their provider to get everything working as quickly as possible (this wasn't the hotels fault). They kept me up top date on the procgress they were making every hour. Honestly,only the problems with the hotel are the hallways have an odd smell. and the neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired. Over the last 10 yeaars I have only stayed at Marriotts it is only now with the current economy that my employer has asked us to stay in lesser expensive hotels. I had no idea what to expect.. I would go back.

“Just what I needed!”

Room was clean, it was quiet so i was able to rest after a day of seminars. Just right for a week stay away from home.

“Will not return”

Will not stay there again, next year and will tell my friends not to stay there.

Area recommendations

For the reason I visit I would stay closer to the Reliant Center. When I asked for a Hotel close to the Center, I was direction to the Best Western Hertiage Inn. Not knowing the city, it was not where I would have stayed.

“Great economical hotel in a great location.”

An excellent hotel. The building is extremely clean. The rooms are both spacious and clean (though one foot rest in the room had minor stains.) The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is amazing. It is a very short drive to Houston as well as having a huge movie theatre and many great restaurants right across the highway. Overall, an excellent, economical stay.

“plenty decent for houston”

best of the 4 hotels i have stayed at in Houston. nothing super special about it, but zero complaints! lobby and glass window in elevator nice touch. very easy access ONTO interstate west bound. the area fairly sucks, but is actually a tad nicer than most Houston area frontage roads.

west houston seems nicer. the area around RICE University is the best ive seen of Houston.
