Rude, Dirty & OverpricedPosted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: see above
Cons: see above
I waited 20 minutes to check-in, along with 8 other people in the lobby, and I was second in line. I had to fill out another form and show a credit card, even after confirming/paying online. The manager, Cindy?, and her co-hort kept telling us all to "bear with us" as they had run out of clean rooms..."we had a lot of checkouts on Sunday". It was 5 PM Monday. She had absolutely no sense of urgency, spent more time explaining than working to solve the problem and kept answering the phone. As for the room, I had to ask for help to push open the door, the AC/fan sounded like a truck starting up and see the picture below of the god-awful chair. No breakfast either.

Pleasant SurprisePosted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Before my stay, I had not stayed at Candlewood Suites before. When I walked in, the lobby was quaint and decorated nicely. The staff was courteous. I did not know that the rooms had full sized refrigrator, two stove burners, and stocked kitchen ware. I just need at least a microfridge and a microwave to keep my food. This was a pleasant surprise. The location was not far from the Houston Galleria, but not walking distance. It's right off the interstate, yet tucked away in a quiet area. I will definitely look for Candlewood Suites locations when I travel.

Clean, friendly and priced right!!Posted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
I love this place! The staff is super friendly (they remembered us from our previous stay!) and the rooms are really nice. The hotel offers the "pantry" for food and free washers/dryers. The location is great and clean.

Great for the pricePosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms was clean. Staff was nice. Only real negative was that the hallways smelled like new paint or something. Overall though it was a fine place to stay. Room even had a little kitchen and a full desk/work area with return.

Clean & comfortablePosted Jul 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
Just an overnight stay but room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Loved that it had lots of outlets to plug in all our electronics. Kammy was fantastic, very friendly and made you feel welcome.

Close Enough to Med Center NeighborhoodPosted Jul 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Was very impressed with all amenities including the bed and pillows. Access to coffee was great although I might have liked to make coffee in the room each morning to get me awake. Staff was friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again with no qualms.

I have stayed at candlewoods in past trips when i can. I like a comfortable private place to cook in the room when i dont want to eat out. I am into bodybuilding and picky about my meals. I have been to other suite hotels also but candlewood has best balance of ammenities amd service and location. The staff is always very nice and rooms clean and comfortable. I always look forward to staying with candlewood suites when i can on my travels.
