Good location.Posted Dec 30, 2014
I stayed in Room 216 from December 26-29. All employees were great and helpful. I had my daughter's with me and the cleaning person arranged their stuffed animals on the bed every day as if they were waiting for them. I thought that was a nice touch. It's small things that make a hotel experience much better. I hope the cleaning person hears that I was appreciative of his thoughtfulness and his willingness to take the extra few moments to make a kid happy like they were.

Very nicely updated, comfortable stayPosted Dec 29, 2014
Although Expedia lists this as a pet-friendly hotel, it is not. Thankfully, when I showed up with my dog the manager was very understanding and made a one-time exception (the manager was to call Expedia to fix this, so I don't think anyone else should try taking their dog there). Anyway, upon check-in the staff here was very nice and friendly. At check-out, we thought we had lost our keys in the room and the staff was very understanding and made great effort to help us find our keys. In summary, awesome staff at this hotel. As far as the room goes, we got a suite with two beds and a couch with a pull out bed. I slept on the pull out bed three nights and I slept comfortably all three nights. The couch mattress is not thin like most couch mattresses are. I would advise asking for an extra comforter or blanket if you're sleeping on the couch mattress because the sheets and blanket it comes with did not keep me warm on their own. I had to add a comforter. The room was very large, accommodated the beds with lots of space for our luggage in between. The living area is large with a coffee table, large desk, and small dining table w/ 2 chairs. The kitchen counter is just enough space to prepare coffee or sandwiches. Mini fridge, microwave, and small cabinet in kitchen area. Our bathroom was nice, but there was a leaky shower head that dripped the entire stay. The neighborhood wasn't wow nice, but it wasn't ghetto by any means. I felt safe walking around the area. Overall great stay

Cons: Fitness room had half of the equipment out of order
Location: Even though it is an easy drive to the "Galleria area" the immediate area around the hotel is much less attractive.
The hotel is old and tired looking for the price. Clean, but sort of has a "run down" feel.

Hotel Semi Near the GalleriaPosted Nov 6, 2014
Pros: Location and price.
Cons: There was a black hair on my comforter when I got into the room.
I stayed for a business trip. My conference was at the JW Marriott on Westheimer. I didn't have terrible traffic getting to the conference at 8:30am. I would recommend if you have something very close to the Galleria. Doesn't feel like a super nice area around the hotel. I just got in my room and stayed for the night after having dinner with a friend.

The hotel is convenient to West Houston and comfortable. There were no pay for view movies as advertised on Hotels.com. The staff was very considerate and helpful at checkin.

Conveniently close to GalleriaPosted Sep 28, 2014
Cons: The hotel requires some renovations, especially in the bathroom and the rear entrance door. Generally, I would say that one gets what one pays...
Clean hotel close to Galleria. Unfortunately when I booked the hotel nobody told me the pool was out of service. The room was clean an comfortable though the air conditioner was terribly noisy. There are some restaurant nearby which poses some advantage.
