Location: House of blues in walking distance
All ok, but breakfast could be better. There is just a coffee shop with limited options.

Visiting Houston for a night

Cons: The only bad issue we had was with the valet parking. When we called to have our car delivered to the front, the automated system said they were unab
Location: Starbucks on the premises and close events in walking distance.
We had an enjoyable stay at the hotel and were treated like VIP's by the hotel staff.

Close to convention center

Pros: Great bed comfort.
Cons: Maybe a few more room updates (tile grout in bathroom). Most things were fairly fresshly done.
Location: Great restaurants near hotel and convention center. Crucial to me was coffee inside hotel and a Starbucks right outside with conv. center close.
Great hotel employees from valet to front desk to bar. Everyone seemed to be happy and hard working.

Good value hotel located in central downtown

Pros: Hotel was easy to reach via public transport from Hobby airport plus bus stop to reach space center was only down the load
Location: The only negative aspect was the fact there were a lot of down and outs hanging around Main Street which is not so nice for female travellers
Reception was very friendly and helpful with recommendations on what to do whilst in town and directions. Although there was construction work going on over the weekend (they were repairing the metro line) the hotel was accommodating in my request to have a room on the quiet side of the hotel. Pool was very nice and welcoming esp. given the humidity in Houston.

Not enough options late night

I thought the hotel was fantastic. We were there for a two day music festival. The festival itself lasted until about 11 both nights. Once outside the festival though, there weren't many options to grab a bite to eat or a simple drink. We did find Bombay Pizza Co., which was a great find, but were disappointed when most of the other places we wanted to eat at were closed, especially during the day.

Great place to stay!

The concierge was awesome! We had a super early flight out on Monday morning and needed a cab to pick us up. He set up a private Lincoln town car to come get us at 5AM. It worked out perfectly. The room was super clean and quiet. We would definitely stay there again!

Comfort vs. Proximity

The location is great as it's a short walk to Eleanor Tinsley Park. However, I found the beds to be hard as a rock which is half the reason for the sub-par rating given. In addition, the valet service is by far the worst in the industry. They ask that you text ahead of time prior to pickup. However, you don't get a reply until 45 minutes later via automated text. Also, they park the cars in a way that slows the flow of getting in and out.

Very disappointed I do not recommend

AC not working in room instead of help from the front desk got a lecture about how a thermostat works and nothing got fixed (it's not rocket science the mode is cooling fan on high and temp turned down). My family had two rooms and we all had to cram into one to sleep through the night. Somewhat nicer front desk person the next day but I was told since I booked through Expedia there was no compensation they could give me. That's garbage. The hotel manager gives me the customary "how was your stay" email and is no help. The rooms were clean, valet prompt (but expensive) however I expect better service for the price we paid and compared to other courtyards. Also across the street from the main (North East side) entrance is heavy construction didn't bother us for the holiday weekend but I would expect disturbances during the week.
