Crowne Plaza Houston River Oaks

Great lunch. Very comfortable bed and helpful shuttle service.

A terrific stay overall, room and bed was very comfortable. View from the 17th floor was superb. Fitness room was small, but had adequate machinery all in good condition. Did not try the restaurant or any of the other amenities, but I had a very high class impression of everything. Staff was very helpful in the limited interaction I had with them - only reason I didn't give a 5 was that I truly didn't need anything from them throughout the stay so I didn't talk to them much. Maybe that counts as a 5 for some folks.

Had to spend a Saturday night in Houston and tried out this hotel without any recommendation. The location is excellent, close to markets, drug store, food and coffee, tourist places such as the museum district and galleria. The room was nice, clean and very quiet. There is a safe parking garage with a reasonable parking rate. Will be back in Houston in a week and will be staying here again.

Crowne Plaza needs some updating but location is outstanding, accommodations and service above average. I am a frequent repeat customer.

The crowne plaza is a home away from home for me whenever I travel to Houston. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff are nice and generally helpful

Pluses: Good location. Office center. Room spacious. Minuses Internet so slow in the room to be practically useless, ok in the lobby. Ventilation in the room only worked while heating or cooling. No way of ventilating the room once temperature attained. Sheets in bed strangely plasticky. No free parking.

Other than the valet attendant, the staff was unfriendly. The room floor hall smelled bad. Service in the restaurant, bar was maginal at best. Would not stay there again.

This is a great hotel and in a great location. I would give it a 4-5 rating in pretty much every aspect. Self covered parking is only $9 too.

The staff were very courteous. Self parking was $9. Room amenities were just o.k. I have stayed in Hyatt House and compared to that hotel this is nothing. No breakfast included in the hotel. Look for a different hotel if you want larger room with better amenities at the same price.

had a good stay, but the floor we were on (10th) hall carpert were wet and had a sour smell that was just horrible.
