“Good for your budget hotel”

I took my chances on this hotel because there were no reviews and I generally depend on good reviews, but the price was so good that I booked it . At first glance it didn't look too promising, the parking lot was full at 3 pm in the afternoon and people seemed to be milling about outside rather noisily. It seemed like it could be really hard to sleep. Anyway, we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best as we left to go to a high school graduation and party, when we arrived back at midnight, it was all quiet and nobody was outside. We got a good nights sleep and enjoyed the continental breakfast in the lobby. The staff was friendly. Our room was very large and clean with everything we needed: coffee, ironing board and iron. For the age of the hotel it was in good repair, the parking lot had a big dip in it and it didn't look good, but the hotel was fine, and I would stay there again.

“Days Inn North Houston”

I booked the Days Inn at the last minute (within hours of arriving into town). The receptionist checked me into my hotel room before noon. I stayed in a large king and loved the size of the room.

“ok but don't expect much”

1, The room took several hours to cool down (it was Hot - faced the sunset)' 2. There was dirt on the bathroom door 3. We had to ask for linens and pillows for the pull out 4. The neighborhood was not too good. There was a night-check-in window (the lobby doors were locked) 5. Room coffee was STALE. The night clerk was pleasantt. I think they gave us their personal pillows when we asked for Linens and pillows. They gave us new pillow slips. Probably did not help my attitude that we had just come from a brand-new La Quinta.
