Close to Gallerea area but not noisyPosted Oct 31, 2013
Room is big, comfortable, frige and microwave new and clean, but bed sheets are so old you can look thru. I've never seen any bed sheets of such thinneness, even in Goodwill stores. Pillows are old, not comfortable. Towels are old, too. Altogether it has an appearance of noble poverty. Breakfast was good , with big enough choice. But if somebody needs short stay close to many places in Houston, it is a good choice, good price.

Economical hotel close to dining and Galleria MallPosted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: Hospitality and location
Cons: A swimming pool may add its grade but price too.
Location: A slew of fast food restaurants and some exotic food stores too. You walk leisurely without fear at night.
I don't have budget to rent a car that long so I opted for DaysInn, which is quite close to a number of bus stops and, more importantly, a few fast food restaurants. If you like to go to Galleria with a rental car, it only takes you five minutes to get there to enjoy your shopping. I can't say the hotel is delightfully clean but the staff respond to your request definitely. Overall, I feel safe, comfortable and relaxed.

Fine for the pricePosted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
For the price, this was a really good hotel for the downtown Houston area. On the whole, the room was very clean and in good repair and the gentleman at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. On the down side, the neighborhood is a bit rough, there was an upside down cockroach in the bathroom in the morning, and the milk at breakfast had gone sour. In the establishment's defense, they replaced the milk when the problem was pointed out and they must have sprayed pesticide earlier. Otherwise, that gross bug would not have been upside down and half dead. The location was convenient to my destination.
