“simple and convenient”

simple, convenient location, clean but nothing fancy. excellent place to crash without spending too much.

“Solid Two Star”

A good, solid Two Star hotel. Well worth the charge. Building is not new, but well maintained. Neighborhood downscale, but that was not a problem. Served our need for proximity to the Medical Center. Bed, pillows, towels, and bathroom were fine. Wish the internet speed were faster, but patience is a learned virtue.

“Will never book a room at this hotel again”

Hotel needs desperate upgrade, toilet was clogged, room smelled very bad.

“Could have been better.”

Although the toilet, sink and bathtub kept flodding and I had to call the front desk a couple of times, they did all that they could to help. The room was clean and the maid service was nice.

“One night”

The hotel was ok for one night. The room was big and clean, there was some noise from the road next to it, but nothing it would not let you sleep. The down side for me it was the breakfast: not to much selection.

“Negatively Impressed”

This hotel should be closed. All complaints fell on deaf ears. The toilet ran continuously and the staff "forgot" to repair it. When the housekeeping failed to service the room repeatedly it was because they "forgot." The TV was so blurry I thought I needed to change my glasses. The mattress had been flipped but, unfortunately, it wasn't made to be flipped so comfort was nonexistant. Linens were ragged and threadbare; they should have been replaced the last time Sam Houston stayed here. The disposable cups provided with the coffee service were clearly marked "Not for Hot Beverages." The vending machines were empty the entire week I stayed. Don't, under any circumstances, make the mistake of staying an extra night -- the charge is double the Expedia rate. Accessibility from the road is difficult. The area is less than desirable with panhandlers, drunks, addicts, and other undesirables roaming the streets just outside the parking lot. The microwave and refrigerator worked fine.

“great hotel for people on budget”

this was my second visit to this hotel, and next time i'm in Houston, i'll pick this one again.the staff is extremely friendly and professional. the hotel is located a little farther from the places i had to go to, but for the money that i paid for it, i got exactly what i wanted: nice room, great service.

“worse experience”

sketchy area noted as we approached hotel...grounds of hotel clean....room was dirty, holes in towels, TV did not work, holes in bathroom walls.. the lock on the door that adjoined with the room next door did not work...we moved a dresser in front of it....did not feel safe....then at 11 pm had knock on door from 2 scary guys...."sorry." We actually checked in at another hotel after the 1st night...original plan was for 5 nights....despite being prepaid....wasn't worth the worry. definitely would not stay here......it is not in the galleria area...rather just a short drive to...

“Good value for a nice hotel in SW Houston”

The room was ready and clean when I arrived. The front desk person was very courteous at check-in and check-out. The neighborhood was a bit iffy, but overall, the hotel itself was a nice place to stay and conveniently located. Given all of these facts, the price was right.
