Good hotel

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Big room, nice pool, friendly staff
Cons: best rate on parking for hotel guests
Location: Good location, close to a couple of things, less than 5 minutes to starbucks, cvs, Jimmy johns and a couple of restaurants.
I went on my two day stay in Houston, this was my second night since I was planing to stay only one night in Houston but I'm glad I picked this hotel. Is close to everything, it has a decent size pool, the rooms are big and it has a nice view. I do have to say that I think is more of a business hotel than a vacation one. The only bad thing I can think of is the parking, is expensive, apart from that everybody was friendly and the room was clean.

Great experience once we were able to check in.Hotel had no record of our reservation from Expedia. We had to wait in lobby for a while while front clerk had to obtain info.

Location: Location is close to the galleria and surrounding shopping centers. It was very convenient and accessible to great restaurants too.
We were down in Houston, Tx to move our oldest son in to his dorm room ( U of H). Despite being extremely busy and on a tight schedule, the hotel stay was great! Our two day stay was very quite and peaceful. We will stay here again in the future, and we will visit Pastor Olsteen's church which is right around the corner from the Doubletree Hotel.

Old Hotel with good intentions, but no.

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Cleanliness of the rooms
Location: Galleria
The parking is costly. Staff is slow. Rooms are supposedly remodeled and updated but still not 4 star by my standards. Restroom was dirty with pubic hair around the toilet and shower walls. Carpet was wet and sticky. Glass Top on desk was filthy. I was not impressed at all.

Nice, clean, quiet hotel, but be prepared to spend 18 dollars per day for parking.

Good hotel location

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Room
Cons: Better hiring interviews
Location: Great location
Overall good experience. Room was great and was extremely comfortable. Staff was a bit disappointing. One gentlemen greeted me at the counter with "whats up man". Not once but the next day as well. I dont even talk like that to my customers. Some seemed bothered.

Concert trip

Found a good deal on the Double Tree which is only about 15 minutes from Minutes Maid Park. The Hotel was comfortable, clean and nice employees. I would stay again if I travel to Houston.
