Great Hotel - Minutes away from Galleria

There is not a single bad thing I can say about the hotel, rooms were clean and spacious. Staff is friendly, kind and always willing to help. We enjoyed the happy hour, the indoor pool and breakfast. I loved the infused fruit water from lobby. We will definitely come back! Congratulations for such a great service!! :)

great location , good hotel

Hotel is pricey but so are others in the immediate area. My problem is the wifi isn't included ( a pet peeve of mine) and I was charged $15 for self parking on a room north of $200 a night

Embassy Suit Near the Galleria

I love Embassy suites hotel. They always have someone there waiting with a smile on thier face. Wonderful Hotel, everything was clean and neat. Love this hotel.

Stay was great. However, when we first checked in they gave us a room that still had a guest clothes, etc. in it - that was creepy . We went back to Front Desk & they gave us another room. It was during this time of getting checked in that my 6 yr old grand daughter lost her Nintendo 3D XL. Don't know if she left it near the lovely swans that reside in the lagoon in the lobby, the occupied room. Or when we had to wait for our other room. That was was heart-breaking for her - they were helpful & said they would look for it....I am sure someone picked it up & kept it.

Disappointing accommodations due to leak in room.

Pros: Pretty lobby. Nice location. Good breakfast.
Cons: Leaks!!! Customer service.
Location: Located near downtown. 50 miles from Galveston.
After a long day at the beach in Galveston we arrived to our room around 10:30 pm, tired and ready for showers and bed. We noticed a foul smell upon arrival to our room. We then noticed a large soaking wet area in the entrance to our room from the adjoining living space. Also it was wet along the wall and along the carpet against the wall. We called for service and they did arrive promptly. They checked in the room up on the next floor above us and found it to be leaking into our room. It smelled like sewer. At 11:00 pm we had to get dressed and move our belongings two rooms down to another room. You could tell on the wall and baseboards that it had leaked before. We were disappointed due to the price we paid for the room we expected much better accommodations. We were not offered a discount, refund or apology for our inconvenience. We normally love Embassy Suites.

Starting to show its age.

I love Embassy Suites! We try to stay at one wherever we go. We love the free happy hour and breakfast. This one is starting to show its age though. Definitely needs a remodel in the next couple years. My biggest issue here though was the $15 a night charge to park in an open parking lot. I should have parked in the free Galleria garage a block away!

Good location, excellent value. Very good breakfast and great manager's cococktail hour (no charge). Staff are excellent. Make sure you get a room with good light
