Good Value in Houston

Posted Oct 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Considering were attending a show at the George Brown Convention center and rates of hotels in the area were between $250-$400 per night this place was a good value for the limited time we were in the room. Bed was harder then we like. The really benefit of this hotel is it boarders on restaurant row just down the street on either Shepard or Kirby. Being from NY I must sya these were very good restaurants only a mile or two away. Americas off Shepard is amazing and PAPAS seafood off of Kirby.

I was, at first reluctant because the hotel was priced so well for our one night visit. I was so surprised by the awesome location, cleanliness of the hotel and lived it was pet friendly. Would definitely stay again!!!

TOO MANY FIRE ALARMS DURING THE NIGHT

Posted Sep 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
THE FRONT DESK STAFF WERE VERY GOOD. THE ROOM HAD LOTS OF GNATS. THE ROOM WAS NOT SERVICED DURING OUR TWO NIGHT STAY. THE FIRE ALARM WAS ACTIVATED, FALSELY, STARTING AT APPROX. 3:30AM AND CONTINUING THROUGHOUT THE MORNING. THERE WERE USED TOWELS IN THE ROOM UPON OUR ARRIVAL.

You get what you pay for

Pretty descent location near Rice Village & easy access to highway. Hotel seems newer, but is in disrepair. My room had missing light fixture, both windows had broken shades (i had to clip them and lean luggage against them to hold in place), door would not shut completely (safety concerns). Not a great neighborhood, but OK in the daytime. Check in was VERY SLOW. waited for 15 min with only one person ahead of me. then took another 15 for me to check in. There was only one attendant checking people in but multiple people behind the desk. The complimentary breakfast is pre-packaged muffins, granola bars, etc. and some pretty horrible coffee. Great price, good location, not the greatest hotel.
