Nice hotel for a one night stayPosted May 7, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff.
Location: Very close to the highway and a bit noisy.
We chose this hotel because we needed a one night stay in Houston until taking a cruise out of Galveston the following day. The hotel shuttle promptly picked us from the airport and dropped us back off the next morning to catch the cruise shuttle service. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hobby Airport conveniencePosted Apr 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Hotel staff were very courteous, friendly, and helpful. Getting to Hobby, although it is very close is a little bit of a challenge. Traffic in Houston is wild.

The hotel was clean except for the pool area. When we went to swim there were dirty towels on floor from previous guests and no clean towels. It took us asking front desk twice for clean ones to get them and then when we did, they weren't much bigger than a dish towel. Also, when I tried to call the front desk it just rang and rang. I noticed the same issue the next day while I was eating. The person running the breakfast answered several times and told people "I don't know where he is, you will have to call back".

Late arrival with surprisesPosted Mar 24, 2014
I was arriving into Houston Hobby Airport after midnight and had communicated this to the hotel staff on site prior to my arrival. I wanted to make certain the shuttle ran 24/7 and that I would be picked up at the airport without a problem-and I was. It was almost 1:00 a.m. when I finally checked into my room. It was a "suite" which I didn't request but that was o.k. Interesting part was that both televisions were on when I entered the room. Additionally, more lights were on than normal when you first check into a room. Upon further investigation, I found a pile of linens. blankets and pillows piled on the floor like they had just come off of the sofa-bed. Also hanging on a hook was a plastic bag full of garbage......The Kingsize bed looked o.k. with clean sheets and I was so tired I didn't bother calling the front desk....at this point all I wanted to do was go to sleep. When I woke in the morning the shower had a puddle of soap water where you would generally place the soap while taking a shower and I found the hair dryer typically mounted on the wall was gone. The metal plate was there, but the blow dryer was gone.

Enjoyed our stayPosted Mar 24, 2014
First time at the HolidayInn express. Family of four, in town for one night only. Very satisfied with cleanliness of my room and hotel. Quick check-in. Loved my shower head and water pressure. Helpful staff. Complimentary breakfast was plentiful. Eggs, sausage, bacon, soft biscuits, sausage gravy, cinnamon rolls, multiple choices of cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, did I leave anything out??? Nothing to complain about. Would stay again.

Nice stay.Posted Mar 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The first problem we encountered was the desk clerk told us that Hotels.com informed them we only needed a standard room, though I had confirmation of 2 queen beds to accommodate my family of four.--They said they were BOOKED due to spring break but gave us a room with a king size bed and a sofa sleeper which was NOT very comfortable for my kids. Secondly, someone stole our DO NOT DISTURB sign off our room door and the front desk had NO MORE. And finally, we booked THIS hotel because it had an INDOOR pool but it was NOT heated.--We swam anyway but it was super COLD!!!

Very clean comfortable close to what I neededPosted Mar 17, 2014
Pros: The comfort it is a cut above the usual 2 star hotels in its group
Cons: It is located on a feeder road to the Gulf Fry which is very busy and it shares a driveway with another hotel so it is tricky to turn in and go to the
Location: Right between two main exist to the Gulf Fry and very weasy access to Hobby airport down Airport Blvd. There are lots of places to eat near the hotel.
I needed a hotel at the last minute and was pleased that I took a chance on this one. Thick carpets on the floors of the hall, welcoming staff, the Hotel is angled that the rooms do not front on the Gulf Freeway so they are quiet. Lots of amenities in the rooms, clean towels, sheets, tv. The breakfast was ample and staff was attentive and kept replenishing breakfast items I will stay there again.

The hotel was decent priced and close to where we needed to be but the hotel smelled like mildew and was stuffy. the sheets on the bed had hair on them. The Breakfast was ok but the lady running it was extremely rude with all the people there eating breakfast. she started taking the food away 15min before breakfast was over then got loud with customers when they were asking what was going on. overall this place was not worth the price we paid. i would not recommen this hotel to anyone nor will my family and I return to this hotel.
