An overall enjoyable experience
Posted Jan 29, 2013
Pros: Bed/Pillows
Cons: Room service was not consistent.
Very nice hotel! Friendly staff with some upscale amenities and comfortable rooms. Overall staff and their service was good, but there were a couple instances where things could have gone better. There was a knock at our door from housekeeping on the first afternoon we arrived asking if we needed to have our room cleaned and serviced. I had already checked and determined that the room had been cleaned and serviced (not true at all hotels when checking in), so this interruption was unnecessary and awakened my wife. Also had to ask for more than two facial towels per day. Also, I left a bag in my car that was valet parked and was told by the front desk that they would have the bag delivered to my room. This never happened, and I needed the shoes that were in the bag. The delay caused me to miss my appointment. Other than that, the amenities were good, liked the spaciousness of the bathroom, a rarity in even some high end hotels. The in-room dining was very good for the items we tried. A good variety of options/stations on the HD flat screen TV. Beds were plush and offered different types of pillows based on your preference (go for the goose down). Oops! Almost forgot, I had a great, deep-tissue massage in the spa. I would definitely recommend this even if you're not staying in the hotel. Fitness area (where the treadmills and ellipticals are located) was kind of dark. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great service but rooms showing age
Posted Jan 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Service was excellent but the rooms were disappointing considering the prices. Rooms are showing their age, little things like fans in bathroom and decent coffee maker were expected but were not there. The hallways had an unpleasant odor that smelled a lot like the Houston Rodeo. Parking is valet only and costs $36 plus tax per day. I will stay somewhere else next time I am in Houston. There are newer and better accommodations available that cost much less.

Great Hotel
Posted Jan 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is the best hotel in downtown Houston. There is a mall and grocery store across the street and it is walking distance to the Toyota Center and Convention Center. They also have a car that will take you anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel.

Best place I've stayed in years!
Posted Jan 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. My husband and I stayed there to go to an event at the GRB Convention Center which was close enough to walk to. When we go back next year we will stay there again.

"A hoilday Inn with a bidet"
Posted Jan 8, 2013
Cons: service, lack of luxury, expensive for quality
Location: nicely located by discovery green, mandatory valet at 30/day
My new husband and I spent 3 days here, after our wedding and over NYE. While the hotel is clean, it sadly was very disappointing when it came to luxury. It reminded me of a Holiday Inn, but with a bidet. The staff was civil, but that is really all that I could say. It was a disappointing place to stay for the price paid. When any issues were mentioned to the staff, the response was "I'm sorry, " but no offer to help fix things occurred. I guess I expected more from a Four Seasons property, especially since I arrived in my wedding gown. As I said its not a bad hotel, but just no where near the level of luxury or service that one would expect from a Four Seasons.
