elegant hotelPosted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The comfort of the room was nice. I liked having the fridge and the coffee maker, and great beds and towels!
Cons: The only negative was that they did not include the wifi daily on the floor for Hilton Honors. The charge was a "little chintzy."
Location: Conventions galore and events hosted at the hotel make it easy to stay there.
I really enjoyed my stay there and the people were polite and very accommodating. It is very elegant and they had a number of posh events taking place while we were there for a convention. I highly recommend this hotel if you are doing anything in the attached convention center. The convenience was great and worth the money.

Bathroom already usedPosted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The staff was nice
Cons: Clean restroom
Location: We went to the Toyoto center
We stayed at this hotel for a large event. When we stepped into our room we saw the restroom toilet had already been used. We asked for the restroom to be cleaned and this was done. The reason we did not change rooms is we wanted to make sure we had a clean restroom for sure. They did send us a bowl of chips and jar of salsa to apologize...Just highly disappointed such a large hotel had this issue.

My stay at the HiltonPosted Apr 9, 2014
For a 4- star hotel I wasn't impressed I feel like the lobby was more memorable than the actual room and staff. Parking was a hassle and because of that you would think the hotel would accommodate that since you're already spending all this money.

Great location, okay amenitiesPosted Apr 8, 2014
If attending conference at George r. Brown, definitely stay here, as skywalk is great! Room was very nice and comfortable, except it smelled of cigarettes (non smoking room). Also, no free wifi. EXTREMELY inconvenient, as most ppl staying here are on business. Food is good, but very overpriced. Staff very helpful. Valet not so helpful.

Ideal for First Robotics Competition at LoneStarPosted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Everything was ideal and perfectly accessible.
Cons: I did not find anything that needed improvement.
Location: You are in the center of Houston. If you can't find something to do, then you are not looking. Houston is a vibrant city, full of opportunities.
I was a volunteer and exhausted after working a 12 hour day. Crossing the bridge to the Hilton was co convenient and so easy.. Everything was well coordinated and check-in and out was easy. I will be back next year! Go CRyptonite, FRC Team 624!

Nice hotel close to the Toyota CenterPosted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: The appearance and friendliness of the staff.
Cons: Parking fees should be waved for hotel guest.
Location: The Toyota Center was across the street and Minute Maid Park was 3-4 blocks away.
The hotel was great. However there was an issue with the manager on duty. He accidentally checked us out a day early...thank goodness the young lady at the front desk was able to "convince" that HE made a mistake and that it clearly showed that we had prepaid for our room and that something needed to be done to make it right. Long story short, she was able to get us a $30 room service certificate...which basically paid for an appetizer.

No issues with our stay. Everyone was friendly. The only downside would be the bang for your buck with the breakfast buffet. Even if it a hotel, when I pay $20 for buffet I expect more options. Nearby places offer better choices at a better cost( discovered that later). Other than that no problems.
