Nice hotel w/fitness center and poolPosted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Clean Room, helpful and nice staff.
Cons: None I could think of
Location: Minute Maid Park, Convention Center
Totally enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express at the Convention Center in Houston, TX. The staff was very polite and very helpful, room was clean and they had free breakfast and a social hour. The location was very good and just a few blocks from Minute Maid Park.

Although the hotel is nice and clean it is a little loud. I could here the person on the floor above walking and on my last night there it was very loud. Au one point sounded like someone was drilling metal outside my door. Otherwise it was a good place to stay.

Good downtown locationPosted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Great location, free parking.
Cons: Maybe carpet cleaning will help with slight musty smell although we felt the room seemed very clean.
Location: Easy to navigate downtown grid system of one-way streets and we enjoyed two great Astros games at Minute Maid park. Love the dome!
Hotel staff was very helpful when we had concerns about incoming stormy weather and flooding. They were also informative about downtown activities and parking. When many downtown places have expensive valet parking it was nice to find a convenient location with self parking. There was a slight musty smell upon entering our room but we found everything in order and very clean. Good breakfast to start each day!

Great Hotel!!Posted Jun 15, 2015
This is a great hotel! We stayed in the executive suite. Loved the room! It won't be long before they will need to do some updating, but it is still great! We traveled to Houston to go to a few Astros ballgames. This hotel is in walking distance to the Minute Maid Park, but it is a good walk. The hotel staff (front desk) was very nice. The free breakfast was ok. I have had better at other Holiday Inn hotels, but it is free with your stay, so no complaining. They did have cookies, cold milk and lemonade in the lobby by the pool at 4:00 pm. That was a great treat! Enjoyed that they kept the coffee fresh every day in the breakfast area!! The place was very clean (someone always was cleaning something)! I would recommend this hotel for your next stay!!

Pros: Clean and quiet and proximity and the breakfast to start the day
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Location: Went to Astros game during the day and concert at Toyota center that night which was just a stroll across the street
Pleased with my stay although it was very brief but I come to Houston at least 3 or more times a year and will now have a place to stay during my travels, thanks again for everything.

Downtown very near Convention Center.Posted May 25, 2015
Clean rooms, felt safe downtown. Staff was courteous. Not enough parking with the multiple events downtown during my stay.

Pros: Proximity to downtown and free parking
Cons: Reservation should be honoured as requested.
I had requested a standard room with two beds. Upon arrival, I was told there were no rooms with two beds, only rooms with one bed. We did not accept this but after some heated debate and a lengthy wait, a room with two beds was found. The rest of the stay was very good.
