“Not likely to stay again”

Had to stay here last minute travel; all other hotels booked; unsafe neighborhood; carpet looked dirty so didn't take off my shoes; bathtub drained so slow I was standing in 6 inches of water by the time my shower ended.

“enjoyable experience”

Hotel staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was above what I would have expected since it was included in the price of the room. The room was very comfortable. We had three people in our room. I slept on the sofa bed which took a little getting used to. That could have been more comfortable. I would have preferred a more firm mattress, but after a while I got used to it. It was nice to have a refrig and microwave for convenience . I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it.

“Very reasonable!”

Although there were renovations taking place in the main lobby, we were very comfortable. Service was great and breakfast was very good. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. Water bottles were provided as well. Thank you for the lovely experience.

“Excellent hotel for events at Toyota Center”

My wife and I stayed recently at the hotel for the Mana concert at Toyota Center. The hotel was nice, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast had several options. Perfect location if you want to stay at the hotel and attend an event at the Toyota Center. (A short 2 blocks away) No need to stress about the parking (FREE parking at the hotel for guest!) or the traffic leaving the concert. Very impressed with the hotel value and a less expensive option than the Hilton across the street from the Toyota Center (and they don't even give up breakfast!) without sacrificing quality. Overall nice hotel and the only choice for staying near the Toyota Center!!! :)

“Convenient for business or pleasure in downtown houston”

Typical Holiday Inn Express. Older facility but well kept and maintained. Front desk staff especially cordial and helpful. Easy walking distance to several restaurants and to convention center. Also within the $6.00 flat rate downtown taxi travel zone. Hotel parking a bit limited, but low cost parking nearby. Seating space for included breakfast is limited so dine early or toward the end of morning rush.

Great place to stay and very close to the areas we wanted to see.

“Poor location”

Even though the Hotel is advertised as being the Holiday Inn near the Downtown convention center it is in a bad location. There are no restaurants, bars or food establishments in the nearby area. The closest bar or restaurant is the Hilton Hotel. It is also a little offsetting that the Hotel is surrounded by vacant fields. Would not go back. I would recomment the Courtyard Marriot, Hyatt, or Hilton.

“"It is o.k."”

Hotel has good breakfast, clean rooms, bed is very comfortable. The hotel staff is courteous, but they are too comfortable working in hotel. The hotel staff eats breakfast and I saw them letting other people come in hotel, use services, and eat breakfast. The breakfast is so good that people who do not stay at the hotel come in and enjoy the buffet. I have two complaints: the a/c unit is too loud (sounds like a humming machine), and hotel carpet is very dirty (travel with your house shoes). My son vomitted on floor and they did not do anything to clean floor besides vacuum and spray smell good spray (that is disgusting). Other wise the hotel is fine and I like design of rooms. Amenities are good.
