Won't Stay Here Again

Pros: The room size was good.
Cons: Much can be done to improve this facility. See comments above.
Location: Location was great. There were many restaurants and shopping venues nearby.
First let me say that the room size and layout was exactly what I was looking for. The room was very spacious and accommodating. The problems I have with this stay are listed below: 1. I paid for the room through Expedia. When we arrived, the clerk ran my card, again, for the full amount of the room. When I asked about it the next morning, I was told it should have only been a $50 charge for incidentals. As of today, I still have two charges for the entire room on my account. This is unacceptable. 2. I killed to roaches in the room the first night there. This was disturbing to say the least. Very large roaches - very disgusting. One was on the wall above the bed. 3. The shower head was disgustingly mildewed. This presented a health concern for all who stayed in the room. 4. The maid service asked if we wanted to her to clean the room or not. Why was I even asked this? Why didn't the room ever get cleaned? 5. My five-year-old son wanted pancakes for breakfast. However, due to the fact that the kitchen staff kept coming out and making pancakes and taking them into the back prevent him from having any. Why was the kitchen staff taking food meant for the guests into the back for themselves? This is 100% unprofessional. Needless to say, this will be our last stay in a Holiday Inn Express.

Cons: Had an accessible room but bathroom had no exhaust fan which made the floor tile slippery when we showered.
Typical breakfast for hotel. Ran out of numerous breakfast items during our 5 day stay.

Great hotel

Hotel was nice and clean, conveniently close to stores and restaurants. Staff was great, toilet was stopped up in room and I was moved to a suite.
