“Wonderful location to Chinatown”

We went to Houston to visit my family who live near Chinatown in Houston. This Homewood Suite is the ideal location to get to Chinatown. Plus, it is close to many, many restaurants. There is also a Whole Foods store down the freeway, so you can stock up on groceries. If you need any other necessities, there is a Walmart down the road too. Even though it is near the freeway, it is not right on the freeway so it is very quiet at night. It is indeed a home away from home. We plan to stay there next time as well.

“Great room for families traveling!”

We loved the free breakfast cooked fresh every morning. It was something different every day. We also liked the convenience of having a full kitchen including a full size refrigerator, dish washer, stove and microwave. If we were staying longerk, we could have cooked all our meals. Dishes and silverware were already there in the room too. We also liked having a seperate living room seperated fromt he bedroom by a door with its own air conditioner. Very Convenient. Would stay in again!

“Absolutely wonderful! Comfortable, excellent conditions and the staff is the best!”

My husband, my 2 kids and I have stayed in many suites before and we were really impressed with this hotel. We got a lot more than we expected (what we usually get from most other places). Beds are very comfortable, even the pull-out sofa was excellent. Everything is always very clean, and the staff is great and always smiley and wanting to go the extra mile! And I really mean it. We accidentally left behind one of our pieces of luggage in the room and they were absolutely wonderful helping us get it back, and these is the kind of things that they don't HAVE to do, but they just do it because they care for their customers. We will definitely stay there every time we go back to Houston.

“will not return!”

All bedding was down feathers. Hotel had no alternatives, the room was maintained daily. The room decor was not eye pleasing. blue and gold with a carpet pattern to make you dizzy. We had requested a late check out, and the housekeeper was at the door at noon on the nose and we told her we were checking out late, she had the front desk call us to confirm we were checking out, which they didnt know about our late check out. The housekeeper returned 10 minutes later knocking on the door and we told her we just talked to the front desk. She then waited outside our room door obviously irritated with us, until we left. by the way the corner gas station has plexiglass all around the cashier who when we arrived was cussing out a patron who needed gas and the cashier was upset because he was trying to close the store. if thats how he runs the business, the plexiglass might be necessary!

Area recommendations

Great location. Next to nice mall area for down time. Minutes away from airport and all Dallas Attractions.

Getting around

If you don't need a car for your business or pleasure, the mall is literally next door and they have a very good shuttle service to and from DFW.
