Great Getaway

Pros: The privacy of the room, ambiance of hotel.
Cons: The menu was good but I think some food items could be improved. I've stayed a few times now and I think some of the small plates could be better.
For a romantic getaway the staff was great and made sure I had the perfect room overlooking the park. It was quiet and away. Made for a special stay!

Pros: newspapers and coffee on each floor free wifi and business center
Cons: room service not good. no soup spoon for soup food eh
Location: near museums and museums district and park
pleasant but too dark. bar had worst margarita ever helpful courtesy cars(suv) to take you around town. !

In regards to the Magic Carpet Ride shuttle, I am happy you enjoyed the complimentary transportation! The hotel drivers will take guests anywhere within a five-mile radius of the hotel. Close to Reliant Stadium

Cons: Better rate for dogs.
We went for the Stock Show & Rodeo & booked this hotel expecting a shuttle back & forth. There was not one, but the Metro Line was one block away & went right to the gate. Great hotel, unusual artwork (little bit weird) and pricey (but good) food.

Nice location in the Museum District

Pros: Coffee in the butler's pantry on each floor every morning is nice and makes it convenient.
Cons: Bathroom is a bit tight considering the generous size of the room. Biggest issue - no full-length mirror, or any mirror in the suite except the bath.
Location: Central to all the museums.
Nice hotel, kind of quirky, funny decor but very comfortable guest rooms. Bed was great, nice linens. Friendly staff.

We stayed here for 5 nights and our experience was more than we expected on multiple levels. My only concern was a $48 charge for what they said was a bathroom kit of shaving creme, shower gel etc. I told the front desk we didn't have anything like that in our bathroom and they did remove the charge. Very glad we stayed here!

very bad experience

I had a romantic getaway with my girlfriend for one night at what we thought was a luxury expensive hotel. there was no hot water that one night all night!! customer service did not offer another room or a reschedule for another night. It was definitely a bad experience and a night spoiler.

Unresponsive staff

Such a great hotel! But repeated loud noises began outside my room at 4 AM and kept going every few minutes for over an hour. I finally decided to just get up and start my day at 5 rather than waste the time trying to go back to sleep. Might have been a staff person, might have been in the workout room across the hall. But the night staff, while sympathetic and willing to send someone to investigate, did not tell the check out clerk of the issue which really bothered me for a hotel of this quality. The check out person asked me how about my stay, so I let him know as well, to which he just apologized. That was it - no offer to make good, no nothing, just an empty feeling as I walked to the front door that no one cared about my lost sleep.
