Good location not worth the price

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Cons: Staff courtesy. Some areas felt tired and dated in main areas.
Best part of this hotel is the proximity to the airport. Linens were comfortable too. However, our expectations we much higher with the cost of the room. Upgrades need to be done and a few of the staff were a halls rude. A few weeks earlier we stayed at another nearby hotel between flights for less than half the amount of this hotel and it really wasn't much different. Was also disappointed that the "deal" on Expedia was exactly the same price they quoted another airport passenger beside me who arrived without any reservation.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding our hotel. It is unfortunate that we did not meet your expectations. I apologize that we did not make you feel like you received a good value for the price you paid. We are an older property and we are currently undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation. For what our property offers we are competitive to the market. I will also pass on your comments about the staff members you encountered in the halls to ensure we are offering the service you deserve. Once again, thank you for staying at the Houston Airport Marriott.

Nice hotel convenient to the Houston airport

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Food presentation at CK's, pool, staff attentiveness
Cons: Stinky jacuzzi smelled of stinky fish, the room service should be on time ( they were 15 minutes late- but it was free because they were late)
Location: Hotel near airport so it was convenient to leave on a flight in the AM
Stayed here last year, much improved . Upgraded staff, food, presentation, treats for children' s amusement. Basic hotel , old amenities from the 90's but pleased over last year in hospitality & services.

Thank you for sharing your feedback of the Houston Airport Marriott. You indicated in your response that you felt the bath rooms were small and that the rooms seemed dark. I am excited to let you know that our hotel is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation that will enlarge the bathrooms and bring in a new, brighter, more modern color pallet to the sleeping rooms. Again, thank you for sharing your experience with us and we hope that you will stay with us again to see all of the wonderful changes.

Conveniently located, but really unattractive.

Generic hotel, outdated and cleanliness is questionable. The only plus is location.

Good hotel if using the airport

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Cons: It would have been helpful if the hotel had informed me that access was by the train in the lower ground floor. I waited outside for a "hotel bus"!
Location: The best and reasonably priced access to the town centre was by Shuttle Bus. This excellent service should have been promoted by the hotel.
Hotel restaurant on the top floor was good. Air conditioning in communal areas was far too cold. I had to sit outside in the evening to warm up!

What an awesome experience....

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Location, views of the airport from the rooms, two different restaurants, pilot supply store, on site laundry, fitness center, pool, the employees!
Cons: Pilot store open on Sunday.
Location: Didn't leave the hotel for two days...didn't need to.
I booked last minute due to being too sick from food poisoning to travel on my intended departure from Houston International. From the moment I got there I knew I had made the right choice. Perfectly located in the middle of the airport terminals, it had everything I needed to salvage this setback. From the on site laundry to the Pilot supply store, I had everything imaginable, along with two great restaurants. Although the facility is a little older, it is well maintained and the personnel were all great. At check in, Leslie recognized I was well below tip top condition, and was beautiful to deal with in every way. When it came time to check out, Leah was also extremely helpful, and got my boarding passes handled in no time. (They have an on site kiosk)... Without a doubt my unexpected side trip was the highlight of my trip. I will definitely book there for my next Houston meeting.

Older Facility Needing Refurbishing

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Staff was friendly and great location
Cons: Tear it down and rebuild
Location: great location for stop-over or early morning flight
The hotel location couldn't be more ideal. i.e. Within the airport complex itself. However it is is a very old hotel that needs to be modernize. The rooms were not as clean as expected from a Marriott and the facilities were lacking.

Location good, everything else terrible

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Undertrained, rude, unhelpful staff. Dated and dingy rooms. Bed was comfy, but nothing else worth the price.
