Only if You Must Stay at the Airport

It's very hard to find, signage not good. Circled around the airport twice before we figured out the way in. Construction on the hotel and bad signage made it again very hard to find the entrance and when we did there were no valets to either take out car or show us where to park. Check-in amateur-ish. Room was fine & comfortable. Restaurant was good & service there was very good.

Staff was extremely willing to answer questions and ensure that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Rooms were ultra clean and comfortable as well as quiet. Valet service was wonderful to get me to where I needed to go at the airport. I would certainly return for my stay on a business trip.

In the middle of a remodel

Pros: Incredibly easy access to HIA terminals. Despite being surrounded on all sides by runways, our room was very quiet.
Cons: They are undergoing a renovation. I imagine that will bring the facility up to the 21st century.
Houston Airport Marriott is undergoing a major renovation. Unfortunately for paying customers, the renovated rooms are not yet available. This means you will walk through a lobby with cordoned off areas, elevators that don't work and fine dust in the air. Our room was a throwback to the 1970's when it was first designed. It was clean but shabby. Happily it overlooked the interior pool deck, so it was a quiet space. We stayed here because we had an early morning flight and the Marriott has a direct underground train to the terminals. That is the only reason I would stay here again--airport access. Otherwise, it was an average hotel, charging higher than average prices.

Never again

Pros: Only thing I liked was the convenience of being on the airport grounds.
Cons: Provide ice buckets and. glasses in the rooms. Also if you are not going to provide a coffee maker in the rooms, start room service at 4 or 5 AM
The place is in dire need of updates. Arrived at 8 pm, starving. Ordered room service,was told it would be 1 hour. We got our dinner after 11PM. No coffee maker,or even a ice bucket in room to get a drink of water. Have to pay to use the WiFi. Will never stay again.

Hotel is under extensive renovation/EXPENSIVE

Pros: The servers in resturants were very professional and friendly
Cons: The hotel should be upfront about the condition of the holel and adjust room rates
Location: There was nothing to do near the hotel, except a mall 15 minutes drive?
We arrived from Grand Caymen and checked into the airport hotel mid afternoon. We were surprised by all the tarping, scaffolding outside and inside hotel. We were awakened at 6:15am to construction noise. After breakfast my husband went to the the front desk and mentioned the early disturbance. The reply from the employee was "that's unexceptable", nothing else! Our flight home was was late afternoon, so to pass the hours we went to the pool. Again exterior was being painted. Ladders were clanging around us. Wish we had stayed in a more central location and taxied to the airport.

As you mentioned, we are undergoing a complete hotel makeover and we are monitoring any and all construction issues to allow our guest the least amount of disturbance. As you stated, there was construction noise that woke you up very early. We meet with our contractors every morning to ensure the workers do not start working before 9 am and I can assure your we addressed the noise issue you brought to our Host's attention. We most definitely appreciate your business and hope that you will return to the Houston Airport Marriott to allow us the opportunity to give you the experience you deserve.

Rooms were basic, but clean. The lobby area is undergo renovation and the gift shop is behind the desk (you have to ask for the specific items you need).

Our gift shop is currently located behind our registration desk but once we finish our lobby renovation the gift shop will once again have its own area for our guest to browse through the items offered. We would like you to come back soon and see some of the neat changes the renovation will create.

My two children and I were stranded in Houston due to a cancelled connection .... The staff allowed us to check in very early and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

Little bang for big buck

Pros: The location and the wonderful restaurant and staff at CK's. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. They even left a thank you note.
Cons: The appearance and the price
Location: Just catch your airplane the next morning, that's it. And, of course, CK's. Their hostess is one of the most beautiful people I've ever met.
When taking the train from Terminal C to the Marriott entrance, the area was under construction and looked like a war zone. The only thing it has going for it is that it is right in the airport...that is the only reason I would stay there in the future, and only if I didn't have time for a shuttle to another property
