Much needed comfort

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: The condition of the facilities and the location.
Cons: No I think it is a great Marriott.
Location: there are a fair of restaurants and you are right off the highway.
My husband and I traveled to Houston to say goodbye to a dear friend. The Marriott North was a very welcome nights rest after a long sad day. The room was perfect and the bed so welcoming. Staff was very professional and nice. One thing to note. The heater/ac was NOT loud. It was very comfortable quiet. Despite being close to the highway there was not noise that was disruptive. We were not here on business as stated but I can say that as someone who has traveled some for business this would be a great hotel were i headed to Houston for work.

The GREAT CHILL PILL

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Spotless room, Quiet!, Clean Carpet, Comfy bed, Service to hotel and back at scheduled times!!! Attentive staff, front desk phone being answered quick
Cons: NOTHING
Location: You can walk to Greenpoint Mall which is real good since I did not have my car with me since I had another flight.
A great place to chill after being out of the US and traveling in five countries for five weeks! This is just the place to get my brain together again! Also, GREAT buffet breakfast, have been in 31 countries and have come back to a Houston hotel each time to chill. I certainly wish I had known about this hotel sooner, WOULD HAVE SKIPPED the other ones!!!!!! This is the hotel I will certainly stay in in the future! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!!

It was a quick turn around but the staff was amazing. I received calls to prepare for my arrival and "won" complimentary breakfast. Stunning!

Nice, Quiet Comfortable Room with Pillowtop Beds

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: See my comments under "your experience".
Cons: See my comments under "your experience". I'm sure there is something that could be improved, but I can't think of anything.
Location: See my comments under "your experience". As we drove just north of the hotel, we noticed lots of restaurants and some interesting stores.
This is a large hotel with lots of amenities, which we plan to use next time we're in Houston for a pleasure trip. However, this time we were in Houston for a quick overnight stay due to a family funeral. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room smelled clean and fresh. Even though the Houston temperatures were in the high 90's, we set the thermostat to 70 and it stayed nice and cool. Each bed had at least six pillows, including real feather pillows, foam pillows, and feather alternative pillows. I love feather pillows and my husband prefers foam pillows, so we were both happy. This is the first time I've ever stayed somewhere and been offered my choice of pillows. Add to that a lightweight duvet and a throw across the foot of the bed. The room was quiet... no noises from the hall or the adjoining rooms. Needless to say, we had an excellent night's sleep. The hotel is located near lots of nice restaurants and shopping malls and is next to two of the major highways that go into the heart of Houston or go around it to connect to other major highways. The hotel is easy to get to by car and is only minutes away from the George Bush Intercontinental Airport (if you're flying or meeting someone). You really can't go wrong staying at the Marriott Houston North hotel (and, no, I don't work for them... I just know a really nice hotel when I stay at one).

Very nice, comfortable rooms. Very secure, can't get on any floors unless you have a room key.

Unexpected surprise

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The helpfulness of the staff.
Cons: The service is exceptional.
Location: It's not in the heart of the city, but close to restaurants and the airport.
Upon arrival, we discovered that our room would not accommodate our party. The staff was extremely helpful an allowed us to upgrade to their presidential suite at no additional charge. They were very helpful, even gave us complimentary breakfast for the 5 in our party. We would stay here again!!!
