“Location Location Location”

Great service at the front desk and valet. Servers at lounge were slow. Incidentals very expensive. Annoying "see through" wall to bathroom illuminates bed when turning on bathroom light at night waking anyone in bed. Room is very small for price. Honor bar food and drinks also very, very expensive. Valet price reasonable. Great gourmet breakfast. The best thing about this hotel is its location. In short walking distance to many shops and restaurants, plus a movie theater. Excellent pool on 2nd floor, beautiful at night. They have wireless Internet service, but it is extremely slow, like the old days of slow dial up. Go somewhere else to use your laptop or IPAD. Brutal, I gave up on it.

Area recommendations

The Galleria area is just as nice for shopping and restaurants. Hotels more reasonable in that area, but need a car to get around. Hilton at the galleria is a great hotel.

“Very slick and stylish hotel!”

This was my first time staying at a Hotel Avia and I was very impressed. Very stylish and hip hotel. Had the egg white omelet for breakfast and it was excellent. The room was very comfortable and the hotel was within minutes of my daytime meeting. Very convenient.

Hotel Avia at The Woodlands was connected to a very nice, sprawling mall with lots of classic and high end shopping and dining options.

“best hotel ive ever stayed in!”

The staff was very friendly and would do anything to make sure our stay was great. My husband and I stayed here for our one year anniversary and it was a pleasant experience. We hope to go back one day.

“Watch the bottle sensors.....”

Great hotel stay. My only misgivings were the charge on my bill for "lifting" a liquor bottle to look at it. They said the sensors "tripped" and I was charged for the look. They credited my account but I thought that having sensors under bottles was little "cheesy." Other than this the service was fantastic.

We dined at Tommy Bahamas (which was amazing). Watched a movie which was something we dont often get a chance to do. And managed to sit on the balcony to enjoy the Kings of Leon concert. (the hotel allowed us private access to the balcony) Everything you need is located within walking distance at market square!!!

“Beautiful hotel and outstanding service!”

We recently attended a concert at the Cynthia Woods Pavillion and chose this hotel because it is within walking distance of the venue. The rooms were decorated beautifully and the hotel is very nice inside and out. The only negative thing that I can think of regarding the rooms is that there was not a whole lot of space to move around in the standard size room, but it served our purpose for one night. That being said, the bed was comfortable and the shower was awesome. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the pool, but it looked fabulous and we saw many people enjoying it while we were there. One of the most outstanding things about this hotel was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. They really made you feel that they cared about your business and your experience. Next time we travel to Woodlands, this will definitely be our hotel of choice! Hopefully we will have time to check out the pool and try some of the food offerings which also sounded amazing!
