great hotel not so great neighborhood

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: very clean and nice facility.
Cons: the food at the hotel is good though a little pricey
Location: there is a mcdonalds and a popeyes very close and a churchs.the hotel shuttle will deliver you to some of the closer nicer eating establishmets
the hotel is self is very nice pool is 24 hrs though smaller then pictured on the website and hotel staff is very friendly. the hotel shuttle runs frequently to the airport and can deliver you to any destinations within 3 miles of the hotel. the area around the hotel (greenspoint) is nicknamed gunpoint by the locals and they don't advise wandering the area after dark. but i was there for a week and didn't see or was in any situation that was uncomfortable. also getting on to the freeway system from the hotel is a breeze

Ok for the price

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: size of the room
Cons: I was upset about the breakfast voucher, I would have liked that to be honored.
Location: not much in the area
In general, nice spacious room. Only problem with the room was the funny smell in the bathroom. Also, had breakfast vouchers that I did not use during a previous stay (that were paid for) and tried to use them and manager did not honor them.

Everything in the Hotel was great except for the drapes in the room. The drapes in the room would not close. Very disappointing for a supposed 4 star hotel. When I confronted the front desk staff about this they acted aloof and then went on to say that many complain.... UNACCEPTABLE, my guest and I could not sleep.

Close to Spring, Greenspoint Mall and the Airport

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: The lobby was really nice and bigger than expected, also the fact that there was a restaurant/bar onsite.
Cons: A refrigerator in the room, in most hotels its a common amenity that's included.
Location: Really close to the Spring, the airport and Greenspoint Mall. The location is placed directly off the highway so easy traveling to Houston.
The hotel is bigger than what it looks like from the outside. The lobby and staff were wonderful. Lobby is huge and very well kept. The room was very clean and comfortable. Wish some amenities came included like a refrigerator. Prices for room service and breakfast were really high especially for that area. Restaurants around are much cheaper for the same food. The parking lot was a bit of a walk; had to climb a steep walkway from the Hotel to the parking lot. Overall above expectation and a good place to stay.

Very nice

I only wish there was a refrigerator included in the room. I think the rental of $15 a day is ridiculous. Otherwise my stay was pretty good.

Good Houston airport choice

Posted May 19, 2015
The Hyatt North is a good choice for an overnight stay in between flights in Houston. We were stranded overnight in Houston because of storms and lack of crew for our connecting flight. We were not happy to have to stay in Houston, but once we checked into the Hyatt North we felt able to relax and enjoy the night before flying out the next morning. We had dinner in the hotel and it was quite good and reasonably priced. The shuttle service to the airport was quick and efficient. At first we thought it was a little far to be an airport hotel but as someone pointed out, this is Texas. Everything's big. With the shuttle it was only a few minutes to and from the airport. All in all a very good choice.

Pros: Above
Very comfy and overall, a great room. Had some issues with breakfast as being part of the package but we got it taken care of. Very responsive staff and great shuttle bus drivers. Treats customers well.
