Awesome Experience
Posted Jan 11, 2013
I had a fantastic stay at the Hyatt! The lobby bar always had great service, they have a 24 hour coffee shop, and all of the staff was super friendly. I would definitely not stay anywhere else if I ever am back in town!

Atria looking up
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Didn't restock coffee for 2nd day
Location: Good for festivals on Allen parkway.
Older high rise kept up to date. No free wi-fi or parking. TV could have better hi-def.

Went downhill very quickly
Posted Jan 3, 2013
Cons: Room..hate to say it service too.
Location: Shuttle has very limited service area literally blocks..wouldn't even take me to memorial Herman
This was my fourth time staying at the Hyatt Regency. Unfortunately, it will be my last. I had called ahead to request a corner room. This is important since the atrium can get quite loud from Lobbibar. Upon check in, the quite snobbish desk person said they mistakenly gave my room to someone else with the same last name as mine.. No apologies..just I am out of luck. The room was loud despite the earplugs.. The tub water would not go down. The air conditioning shot out water droplets... Condenser.. Room was sickly humid.. Thank goodness I am not getting a respiratory infection. The hotel was overall overtly dirty. Even the pool water was soupy..very unpleasant experience.. Plan on telling my employer to avoid using it.

Pros: Lobby Bar
Cons: The toilet in the room was too short/small
Location: Houston Tx
Very nice hotel, clean rooms, bed was comfortable. Bathrooms were nice. The lobby bar and restaurant were very nice. To top it all off, the staff was extremely helpful and polite. Overall I had a nice stay.

Top-Of-The-Line
Posted Jan 26, 2013
Pros: see above
Cons: none
Location: In the center of town. Likely a auto is important to have given the sprawling nature of the city
Everything was top-of-the-line. Outstanding interior ambiance, excellent room, amazing staff. Terrific in every way. I found the valet parking service to be notably above what I have experienced at other hotels. All the attendants were efficient and personable - but especially so one named Nick.

This hotel was a disappointing experience.
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Location: It's in downtown Houston. I guess this would be good for business clients and it's also near the Alley Theater and Jones Hall.
I had several visits to Houston for medical reasons and we bought a "business package" at the hotel (breakfast included) because there was a huge convention in town and there were virtually no rooms to be had anywhere. It cost around $350 a night, and was not worth that price. The air conditioning fan was apparently bent, so it sounded like there were people doing construction overhead every time you turned it on (Tink, tink, tink, tink all night long). The lighting in the bathroom was so dim it could only be described as "mood lighting." Otherwise it was perfectly fine, but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express on the previous visit (around $120 a night) and was much more comfortable, plus there wasn't the hassle of valet parking. I would not go there again, not because it's terrible, but because it's needless expense without anything to show for it.

Good location, horrible for those who need WiFi
Posted Jan 23, 2013
Pros: Good location downtown, within walking distance to everything that I needed.
Cons: The $10 charge (per 24 hours) for internet, per device. The sheets were very scratchy and uncomfortable. The air was loud and constantly kick on.
Location: The location is great, within walking distance to everything you need downtown. A $30 cab ride from Hobby Airport.
The location of the hotel is great, we were able to walk to everything that we needed (grocery, convenience, restaurants, parks). There is no free wi-fi in the hotel, it's a $10 charge for 24 hours of access. This appeared to be per device, so I ended up spending an extra $30 per day in order to conduct business! This was really annoying the last day, to pay $10 for what ended up to be a hour of wi-fi use. The room was clean but the sheets were really uncomfortable. The air was loud and constantly kicked-on, rotating between hot and cold air. There's no mini-fridge in the hotel, which is something that I prefer.

Nice stay

Pros: Beds were comfortable.
Cons: No real gift shop
Location: Excellent for my meetings
Very nice stay - no problems. Close to all our meetings. Would have liked a bigger gift shop.
