“Houston Birthday Getaway”
Upon arrival we were greated immediately at the front desk. Before check-in was completed our luggage was placed onto the luggage cart and were taken to our assigned rooms by the Bellhop. Once inside the room the Bellhop who then proceeded to go over all of the room features. The Bellhop recognized that we had a toddler with us and asked if a refrigerator was needed and had one delivered immediately. The service at this hotel was exceptional.

If you like excercising and swimming, jacuzzi, and room service J W Marriott is the hotel for you. By far it is one of Houston's Finest Hotels in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Overall, a wonderful stay. As noted above, everything was lovely, the service was excellent, and the food was very good! In addition, the located was perfect for our trip. I would like to point out that the restaurant staff really stood out - both in the lobby lounge and at the breakfast buffet. My 3-year old nephew got ill at breakfast, but the hotel staff didn't miss a beat - besides not making us feel bad about the situation, they took care of everything and even made my nephew feel better - they were amazing!!! If I had to share something that could be improved, it would be the temperature of the sleeping room. For some reason, we just couldn't get it cool enough. ;o) Thank you for a wonderful stay.

“Perfect if you know the location is right for you”
-I stayed here to attend a wedding at the St. James Courtyard, which is only like a 5-min drive away. So the location was perfect for that. During my downtime I walked over to the Galleria and some surrounding shops and restaurants. But couldn't find much night life that was to my liking. Area is pretty corporate. I prefer dive bars haha. The bar at the hotel was dead and pretty boring. -My room did not have a fridge. There was a big empty space under the TV set where the fridge should have been. I had to keep my bottled water and other beverages on ice. -My room only had packets of decaffeinated coffee. But it was okay, I went down to Starbucks in the lobby everyday. But they close early. -One thing I dislike about the Marriott is that they will charge you $12.95 per day for wireless Internet access. -One of the bellhops is the nicest man ever. He made me feel like a VIP guest, the way he stopped to chat with me to make sure my stay was going smoothly. -Upon Express Checkout on the TV menu, I noticed I was charged for valet parking. I had to call the front desk to have that charge removed, as I did not use that service. -Everything else was great. I would stay here again for sure. I used the fitness room and lounged by the pool too. Wonderful!
