Pros: Beautifully decorated. Rooms are big. Perfect location.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower was very low and made loud noises.
Location: Many dining options to choose from. Rides and games in the midst of Hotel. Gift shops galore for shoppers. Live music to dance to in courtyard.
Weather was cold at time of our visit but room was nice and cozy. Checked in late but staff at reception were very pleasant. Had many conveniences in room that I didn't really need to pack extras.

This would be a nice hotel but apparently the housekeeping staff is not doing their job. Carpets are stained badly. Chairs are stained as well. Dirty towel left in tub and tub also had some kind of goo in the bottom. Thank goodness we brought disinfecting wipes!!

Noise factor and inconvenience

Posted Oct 9, 2014
The train whistle is obnoxious and irritating and seams to never stop until around 10pm. Drink machine on 4th floor (hidden well) couldn't find it and snack machine very limited hidden well on 3rd floor and NOWHERE else in the whole boardwalk are there any refreshments available after 6 pm unless you go to a restaurant ( which don't stay open late either.

Lovely hotel overlooking Clearlake and boardwalk

Posted Oct 4, 2014
I checked in with my 13 year old son. We were the " guest of the day." Our room was very large and comfortable. The balcony overlooked Clearlake and Kemah boardwalk. It's hard to sometimes get my 13 year old son to smile etc. But we had a blast. The pool is heated so that was a nice treat after the rides and restaurants

Pros: How quite and friendly everyone was.
Cons: Shopping staying open later than they were.
It rained while we were there but it made it very relaxing. Since it was off season it quite. Enjoyed our short ride to Galveston.

Kemah Visit Sep 13 2014

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Near the water and nice restaurants.
Cons: Price!
Location: Nice restaurants...all within walking distance.
While I enjoyed my stay at the Kemah Resort Inn, it wasn't even close to being worth the price I paid ($270 for one night). While comparisons with other properties are not always "fair," I must say this: Last year, I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and was on the 13th Floor, overlooking the ocean, with a balcony...and the room was 4-5 Star, in every way. When I looked on the Kemah Resort website, it stated that every room faced the Boardwalk. That may be true...but, all I could see from my balcony was the top of a restaurant across the narrow Boardwalk walking area. I couldn't even see the people below. And I couldn't see the central entertainment "circle," where most people gathered and where the bands were playing. And I couldn't even see the waterfront...even though it was just a few yards away. VERY DISAPPOINTING....especially since I paid $270! I paid $200/night at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 Hotel in Fort Lauderdale...with a MUCH BETTER view and BETTER room!! When I checked out the following morning, I inquired about the option to book a specific room...with better views...and I was told it is possible. Wish I was told that when I checked in. For me, $270 is a lot of money for one night...especially when the room and view do not live up to that kind of value!!!

Spent a couple of nights here for my honeymoon. When we got there the first night they offered to upgrade us to the presidential suite for a little more. The suite was amazing. Super comfortable bed, 3 balconies, 2 restrooms. It was very nice. The Inn was the best location for all the enjoyment at Kemah. Great service. Had a blast.
