The room was clean. Pool on top floor has nice view of downtown. Staff was polite and willing to help. I used valet when I got there and didn’t need my truck till I left 3 days later. Truck was in same condition as I left it and the valet bill was taken care of by by hotel during checkout. A variety of dining options in walking distance from fast food to nice Brazilian steak house. I recommend moonshiners if you have weakness for southern fried.

For the most part the property was very nice, staff was very accommodating and the bar area is excellent. However, the water temperature was HOT. We ran it at the coldest temperature and still had to run to the ice machine to get ice to cool it down and only about 5 buckets of ice later was is cool enough. And be cautious about where you park around the hotel. We parked on the side street and our car was broken in to.

If you are coming to the arts area for a show this hotel is reasonably priced, near all the other hotels and all the theaters. The guys and gals who ran the valet service were johnny on the spot. There were several groups and events here so the food and beverage service were not really available; we used other hotels for that.

I stayed at this hotel for a week in a 2 queen bedroom with one of my friends for a birthday staycation. The room was very clean, staff was very kind and sweet and the hotel smelled amazing upon entering. We included breakfast in our stay which was so yummy and worth it everyday! I will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future. There is a parking garage located just across from the hotel. Food options are available all around and within walking distance. I also went to an NBA game, this hotel is very close to the Toyota center so it was quick and easy to get there! My only comment is for the rooms to have a mini fridge- not sure if the upgraded rooms have this but I will be sure to get a room with a fridge for my next stay.

Magnolia was a very nice hotel, Convienitent walk to Convention Center and the Start line for the Marathon is right outside the door. Valet service was excellent as well.

Room is a little plain and dated carpet. Small tv but the room is spacious. Just a little pricey for bare amenities offered. Valet parking is $50 for one night which is highway robbery.

The room was not to my expectation. I advised the front desk agent that there was a smell and she stated she could have some spray and while it helped in the short term the smell came back . Also the heat in the room did not work properly and there were several lights not working as well. I believe the employee gave me one of the more run down rooms because I booked through 3rd party. I have always stayed in quality rooms and I expect my room to match the rating of the hotel.

The staff was friendly. However the room and bathroom were small and the floors were old and dirty. Bed's uncomfortable, the bed frame was broken on my bed. I read that in 2019 this hotel was remodeled, we must have had a room from the early 1990's. Pictures of the pool and hot tub must have been taken 10 years ago; although, the view was spectacular. I would have expected this type of room at a much less expensive hotel. I thought the more money I spent the better quality and cleanliness, usually that is the case, I do travel. I was highly disappointed!

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the service we received during our stay. The valets were incredibly helpful with providing directions to our destinations. The front desk staff were pleasant, however, we were surprised when one person couldn’t provide information which should have been known when working at the front desk. Again, I have to commend the valet as he was able to answer my question.

Fine, but some issues and outdated
Overall, the stay was average. I booked it hoping for a nicer hotel, however I don't think it's worth the price I paid. As for location, I didn't feel safe walking alone as a female at night (but not the hotels fault). I booked a King room (travelling solo), but received one with 2 queens and then when I called they said they were sold out of the room requested even though my booking was guaranteed. They offered a breakfast voucher but when I saw the menu at the restaurant that was not appealing. The staff helping me was very kind and tried to make right of the situation. It is quite outdated, the drain in the shower did not work properly, neither did the fridge in the room but I was so tired after travel so could not be bothered to move or deal with it. Some pros: the pool was nice, as was the hotel bar for drinks. Some staff were quite friendly, others seemed annoyed by customers (there was a conference on at the same time so it was often busy). Bed was comfy too. Overall it was fine, but probably not worth the high price.

Haven't stayed at the Magnolia in years, but decided to book a room since I was in town to see some concerts. It's definitely gotten overhauled since I was last there. I received complimentary breakfast since I booked through Expedia which was awesome. All elevators were functional. Cookies are served at night with milk , the staff was super friendly and kind and the valet was quick as well.

We flew in from Florida early morning. The hotel said that we would not be able to check in until 4 o’clock. But the hotel was able to get us in early enough into our room so that we could shower and clean up before our show that night. I felt like they bent over backwards to accommodate us. The room was exceptional. My wife talked with Norton on the phone and told him that it was her birthday weekend and he hooked us up. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

The lobby and restaurant were beautiful and nicely updated. The building was unique and historic but didn’t feel old. It was continently located close to Minute Maid Park and offsite restaurants.
