Great place to stay to see the Houston AstrosPosted May 19, 2015
Pros: The location, the hot tub, the cookies and breakfast included.
Cons: Needs parking.
Location: Close to Astros Minute Maid Park.
A convenient to the ball park hotel, also good for business travelers to downtown Houston. The hotel doesn't have its own parking, just valet, and the clerk didn't want to provide alternate suggestions. The room was clean and fresh, though I did find a razor blade cover on the counter. The bed was comfy. I was disappointed that there wasn't any information about the hotel in the room, just price lists for the mini-bar and room service. The hotel offered milk and cookies in the evening and a full breakfast was included in the morning. Nice extras! The roof top pool was the smallest swimming pool I've ever seen, though the hot tub was good and hot!

Pros: cookie and milk bar and the lounge area on 2nd floor was nice.
Cons: more signage about parking at hotel maybe an email making you aware of parking and what to expect.
Location: great location to ball park
We picked this hotel due to the location of the Minute Maid Ballpark. We were in town to see the Astros play and wanted to be close. We wanted to be able to walk to park. This hotel was perfect for that. Since I don't travel to Houston, ever, I did not realize we would be downtown. Parking is limited, and the hotel only had valet. A public parking garage was a block or so away, which does not see bad, but when we pulled in, we took a ticket and then were stopped and asked to pay 20.00 (CASH ONLY) to park overnight....was a bit skeptical. We did not have enough cash, so we left and ended up valeting the car at the hotel. It was just a bit unexpected and I will take part of the blame for not doing my research on parking etc., but the valet staff outside was just a bit unhelpful. The room seemed a bit blah and did not compare to the pictures I saw online. For the price, I expected really nice. The "clean" towel hanging in the bathroom was dirty, we only had one disposable coffee cup, and a lot of paper products (coasters) were being recycled. The bed was for the most part comfy.

Girls' GettawayPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: I loved the valet parking, just wish it was included in the price of the hotel. It was walking distance to many after hours activities.
My friends and I stayed one night. We loved it. It was close to the Toyota Center where we attended a concert.

Nice hotel walking distance from Minute Maid parkPosted May 11, 2015
The hotel and rooms are great! The staff was also very helpful whenever we had questions. The on-site car service that takes you anywhere in the downtown area was quite handy. Loved our stay!! Will stay again if in Houston.

Well placed hotel downtown Houston, TXPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: It had the feel of a grand hotel.
Cons: The breakfast. In the side room I believe was titled the library a chef was making omlets. I was not sure if they were for all guest or private.
Location: Close to Minute Maid Park and the convention center.
This is a well upkept hotel, an older hotel that has has all the modern needs with the old feel of a great hotel. The staff was very friendly and always respectful and polite. The parking is done the best it can be done since this hotel does site right on the corner of busy intersection but somehow they manage to get your car quickly and park and so you can get back out onto the street. The room was comfortable, clean plenty of lighting. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. My wife and I were place in a handicap room so it did not have a bath tub which was fine. All in all a pleasant stay.

Jeg kommer tilbakePosted May 9, 2015

OK & downtown Houston but definitely not 4 starPosted May 9, 2015
Location: downtown Houston
staff did not communicate to us about various amenities which would have been good to know about. re: cocktail hour in evening and breakfast buffett in AM. It's a nice hotel but not a "boutique" hotel. There were large wedding parties etc which were noisy so if your looking for a romantic get away a B & B would be better

Historic charm, with contemporary featuresPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: downtown location, valet & courtesy breakfast staff
Cons: Stayed two nights, room was not cleaned/straightened after first night. Interesting custom that I had not encountered before.
Beautiful hotel that provided value-added amenities such as courtesy shuttle, free breakfast, manager's reception, and cookies & milk in the late evening. Staff very pleasant and room was lovely.
