“Pleasant and rather comfortable stay”
Support and assistance from the guys at the desk was excellent. Great service and understanding.
“Quick trip with friends”
Stayed here with friends after an event at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion. (He had been unable to find hotels closer.) Surprisingly, this was a great location for us as the next day we needed to head south anyway. On our way back to the hotel after the event, the previous exit to the hotel had a Denny's and Walgreens. It was only about 10 minutes south of the pavillion and very minimal traffic after the sold-out concert. Room was very clean and quiet. Bathroom had recently been repainted a very BRIGHT dark orange, but was clean and didn't smell like paint. (Must not have hired the best painters, as they tended to "color out of the lines".) A couple of places of grout discoloration, but nothing terrible. No hair or gunk anywhere. Hotel was sold out and parking began to fill up as other guests arrived after us (after midnight). Breakfast area to eat was quite limited. Only one waffle maker. It was close to 9:00 and breakfast stops at 9:30, so maybe we were a little late. There was a hostess trying to refill pasteries. I think if we had gotten downstairs 30 minutes or so earlier, we could had taken breakfast back to the room. (There was a nice table and chairs in the room to be able to eat.)
“good enough”
the hotel is good for the main purpose, people attending training courses nearby.
“Quality Suite. You get what you pay for. Cheap.”
This hotel was recommended by Expedia. The location was less than desirable but not comepletely terrible. The room was acceptable. The bed was quite good but the room smelled like a rehab room and things looked dated. Carpet was ok but the paint was chipped and peeling. The shower head was old and weak, but the curved curtain rod was nice. The lobby was decent and the breakfast buffet was about a 3 out of 5. To improve the buffet, they need healthier cereal choices. Waffle station was great. My boss's room smelled of cigarette smoke and the bathroom tile moved.
