Ramada Limited - Houston Southwest

One of my worst experience staying at this Ramada Hotel located in Houston, Texas. A/C was making a lot of noise and was never fixed inspite of informing the front office several times. The desk Lamp was missing a bulb and when asked to get it fixed, the front office said they don't have anyone to replace it and if I want it I can come downstairs and get the bulb and replace it myself. I did'nt have a choice but to do it myself taking the risk of an electric shock. Coffee maker was very old and dirty and there were no coffee mugs and no coffee, sugar nor creamer available. called the front office and again was asked to come down and get I as no service available. I am talking about around 7:00 p.m. and not late at night. When I made the coffee, the coffee was ok but the creamer was so old and stale the it was hard and would not come out of the packet. Finally I gave up and asked the front office to ask the hotel manager to call me and to date have not heard from the hotel management. No wonder they want to reply as they are not confident about their service and the product. I should not be charged for my stay and will be glad to talk to someone regarding my whole experience at this hotel stay. Akbar

Security is very poor - my rental car was broken into (glass smashed) and GPS and sunglasses stolen. Hotel's attitude was very casual - we are sorry and can offer you one night free next time. They did not even bother to find out whose car it is and inform me when police came to make a report. I won't recommend going there even if the entire stay is for free. Very dirty and poor maintenance, rat droppings on room shelves. Breakfast is an insult because everything has to be reminded and asked from the staff who won't keep more than 5 slices of bread or 5 plastic glasses at any one time. Noise from highway is also quite disturbing. Overall atmosphere is one of a very shady, lowest class lodge - it can't be termed as a Hotel.

Don't like it.

The room was quite clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. However, when we arrived, there were no towels in the room. Had to get some off the cart left in the hallway so we could wash our hands. The second day, there were minimal towels and no additional shampoo or soap left. There was no heating in the hallways or elevator, and the lobby had small room heaters. The heat in the room worked okay though (maid turned off the heater again when she cleaned). It gave the impression they were trying to save every penny available. Being frugle is fine, but it was to the point of effecting the comfort of the guests. Probably would not stay there again and would not recommend.

The staff in the hotel was very pleasant and helpful. The only discomfort was the small bathroom and the noise of traffic from the freeway. Overall we did enjoy the stay at this Inn for the few days we were there. I would recommend to others if they are looking for a convenient place on the sw side of houston for a short stay. However, if we are in for a longer stay, I think we would pick a different establishment. However, for the price we paid, It was ok. Thankyou.

Overall is good in a short stay, except the carpet is too old ( or the color make it look like old) , staff is friendly, convenient location. I would come back for other occation.
