The worst hotel experience I have ever had.Posted Nov 26, 2013
The hotel is being remodeled and the workers are staying there. There were close from a previous stay in one of the drawers when we got there. Where the stove for the kitchenette should have been, there was a hole in the counter and the stove top was sitting in it on the floor. The door was half painted on the inside, and the room had an odor. when I complained about the room, the person at the front desk said they may be able to get us a different room the next night. After calling, he finally came and removed the clothes. I cancelled the 2nd night. The first night was our 10 year wedding anniversary! Expedia did help us get out of the 2nd night, but should do a better job of checking out these hotels before putting them on the sight. I should be refunded for having to endure one night in that place!

Unreliable AmenitiesPosted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: The room rates were affordable.
Cons: The advertised amenities were not available and working.
Location: The location was great!
The refrigerator was not working from the minute I got to my room until the minute I checked out. I informed the staff immediately, and they said that they would fix the refrigerator the next morning. I bought groceries the next day and returned to my hotel room that afternoon - only to find that the refrigerator had not been fixed. I again informed the staff, and she told me that she would send "him" over right away. He never showed. I wasted 40$ on groceries.

Uncaring management, disgusting smell in room.Posted Sep 11, 2013
Cons: Attitude of the manager/owner and a thorough investigation of why the rooms smell so bad. Air conditioners need updating.
Upon arrival at the 'hotel', I noticed that the outside of the building no longer bore much resemblance to the photograph on the website. I checked in and the manager/owner, possibly the least welcoming person in the whole of Texas, gave me a key to my first floor room - I carried two heavy suitcases up a flight of stairs, there was no lift. On entering the room, the first thing that hit me was the awful smell. It was an intense mixture of either cockroach repellent, mothballs, something that had died, staleness and bad ventilation. It was absolutely disgusting - something that you could almost have cut with a knife. The air-conditioner at the rear of the room was working full blast and was very noisy but was doing nothing but pumping the already fetid air around the room. I would never have been able to sleep in a room smelling like that despite it appearing to be relatively clean. Bizarrely, in the kitchenette, the hob had been completely removed from the worktop leaving an unsightly hole. I went back down to reception and spoke to the manager to complain about the horrible odour and that I could not stay in that room. One of the hotel cleaners happened to be in reception at the time and agreed with me that the room smelt bad. The manager could not have cared less. I left without staying the night and found a different hotel.

Motel is undergoing some renovation overall my stay was no frills. There was no pen to take a phone message, no hair blower in the bathroom, or iron. The sink area is small and no place to put toiletries. No tissue, shampoo or conditioner in the dispenser and dispenser placement within the shower stall makes taking a shower uncomfortable. Parking is hit or miss. I think that once renovations are complete it may be may be a better place but I would not be staying there any time soon.

Internet is slow. I can open my emails but not watched videos. If the guests assume that there will be a microwave, refrigerator, iron, iron board, and hair dryer in their room, they will be disappointed. If the guests wanted it, make sure then that it is included when they booked the hotel. The only positive thing I can say about this inn, it is a safe place to stay.

Cheap, close to Medical Center and Light RailPosted Jun 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very cheap, nice location and clean rooms for the price. I did see a cockroach in the bathroom my first night but that was it. Other than that, the room itself was decent.
