Love staying with you!

Location: We have family in Friendswood, perfect location for us! Also we love Kemah and The Space Center!
Great location for us! Only two problems, first, the the toilet ran all night and we couldn't get it to stop. Second and most disappointing, we always enjoy having a drink at the bar! But this time the bartender was more interested in visiting with his friends at the bar than waiting on us or any one else.

Comfortable & Relaxing
Posted Jan 6, 2013
Pros: The view was relaxing and pleasant.
Cons: Room Thermostat
Location: the location was on a quite cove off the main road so there was no passing traffic. Water was on three sides so the view was beautiful.
The only detail which could have been inproved on in my room was the temperature control. I could not get the temperature to adjust up. I would adjust it to be warmer and the control would slowly go back down. The room was on the cool side.

Worst Beds Ever...
Posted Jan 20, 2013
Pros: Excellent Location
Cons: Beds, Blankets, Temperature Control
Location: Only about 10 minutes from the Kemah Boardwalk
Staff were great. The location was very conevenient. Pool was nice. The room was clean, but it was freezing! The thermostat apparently didn't work, and it stayed at about 62 degrees in our room. Had to turn it totally off to get any relief. The beds was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in and the blankets probably would have fit a twin bed better than the double which didn't help with the fact that we were freezing!

Awful staff and hotel experience
Posted Jan 13, 2013
Pros: Swimming pool and the view
Cons: Everything else
Location: Too far from Houston due to traffic congestion.
I booked and paid for an 2 Executive King Floor rooms for myself and my colleague. On arrival and we were given Standard Twin Doubles. When I asked for what we had paid for, I was told that nothing could be done until the following night and I would have to refer it to the day manager. The change was made and the replacement room was as expected however, when it came to to getting a rebate on the first night, I was told by Renee, the day manager, I had to take it up with Expedia. Apparently room standards are not guaranteed and it is written in the fine print that you take what you get irrespective of whether you have booked and paid for a premium or a higher level room. I have read the fine print and I cannot find anywhere where a hotel reserves the right to downgrade a confirmed Expedia booking without compensating the customer. We Australians are accustomed to excellent service when we visit the States. These guys broke any illusion one should have on that score. The tarriff included breakfast. They advertise a wide choice of cooked eggs and an extensive breakfast menu in the lobby. The reality is if you want any type of egg other than scrambled, then you have to order and pay for it. To compliment this, there is a limited range of packaged cereals, fresh fruit and pastries. This is the most menial breakfast I have come across in a 4 Star hotel anywhere in the world and I travel a lot.

Pros: The staff
Cons: The bed, bedding and more pillows
Location: Great location, had a lovely view
The staff was very nice. The hotel is alittle older and could stand an updated renovation . The bathroom was cramped for two people and bed was not very comfortable for our liking but the cost and the staff balanced out each oother.

Pros: Good breakfast buffet!
Cons: Uncomfortable beds.
Good breakfast buffet... Got a room with two doubles instead of queens. probably my fault for misunderstanding... bed comfort fair at best. I think that I would have been happier at Marriott Courtyard for half the price.

Pros: staff
Cons: bed
Staff was great. My only complaint was the quality of the matresses. It felt like i was sleeping on two box springs.

Nice experience
Posted Jan 23, 2013
Pros: It was clean and better than expected from the reviews
Cons: Bathtub just a little moldy, needed a little upkeep, otherwise, the room was nice and very clean
Location: Location was great and very central
Went for the weekend during spring break, we wanted to stay close to the Kemah Boardwalk and we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. After reading some of the reviews, we were not expecting too much from the hotel but it was close to the boardwalk, we were not disappointed. Will stay there again.

You can do better
Posted Jan 22, 2013
Pros: Nice location.
Cons: Couldn't see out the windows and it was old and outdated.
Location: Great location but not worth the price.
This was an extremely disappointing stay. We got the "manager's special" high floor with what was supposed to be an amazing view. But, when we arrived in the room, we could barely see out the window due to something on it. Whether it was really dirty or something was wrong with it, either way, it was very disappointing, especially with the price they charge. The hotel had the appearance of being very old and outdated. They are in a great location and I would have expected much more for the price they charged. If you are reading this, you can find a better hotel.
