CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!
Location: MINUTE MAID BALL PARK IS 1 BLOCK AWAY.
EVERYTHING WAS VERY CLEAN AND NICE. THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE AND HAD CRISP, CLEAN SHEETS AND COMFORTER. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WAS THE ONLY THING THAT WAS A BIT OF A DOWNSIDE FOR US. THERE WASN'T ANY SHOPPING NEARBY, THERE WERE SOME RESTAURANTS 4-5 BLOCKS AWAY, BUT NOT MUCH THAT INTERESTED US. NO SELF PARKING, VALET ONLY. IF YOU ARE IN TOWN FOR A BASEBALL GAME, IT'S A PERFECT LOCATION.

Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Location: Ball park, Flying Saucer. We were only there a short time.

Room was good but valet service is shady.

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Stayed 2 nights. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable bed. Good service at the bar. I do not recommend the valet service. My wife's sunglasses mysteriously disappeared. The glove box was opened when we checked out. Reported the missing glasses and the glove box but didn't get much out of the hotel receptionist. She continued to question us as if we were lying to her even after we clearly told her what happened. She not once acknowledged the fact that the glasses were missing or stolen.

One of my staple Houston hotels

Posted Apr 15, 2015
Cons: Lighting in the bathroom is pretty bad (I think hotels do this on purpose), so it's tough to see when you're getting ready for the day.
Location: Go to the Flying Saucer for craft beer or The Grove for an upscale burger.
I had a nice corner suite with lots of windows and light. Very spacious and nicely put together.

Convenient to the convention center

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Everything was good. Many of the employees were outstanding.
Cons: Huge increase in price since it was Inn at the Ballpark with no noticed improvements. I will look for a different property on my next visit.
No bell service when I arrived. No bell service when I left. Rooms were large and well appointed. Attractive décor everywhere.

Enjoyed our stay

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Our trip was to attend functions that were located downtown and this hotel was the perfect location for us. Easy walking to restaurants, activities, etc. The hotel staff were professional and pleasant making our stay enjoyable. Rooms were clean, comfortable and it was quiet. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel near Minute Maid park.

Posted Mar 9, 2015
Pros: Every employee was so nice and helpful.
Cons: Nothing to complain about.
Location: The location was perfect for what I needed that weekend: college basball at Minute Maid park.
I was looking for a nice hotel near Minute Maid park. What I found was a gem. I valet parked Friday afternoon and didn't have to use my vehicle until it was time to go home Sunday afternoon. Walked to the park each day, enjoyed good college baseball, ate great meals in the hotel, and slept like a king in the big king size bed.

missing money

Posted Mar 5, 2015
Pros: very nice place,, great meals and very clean..
Cons: not steal money
Location: what a fishing show
one of the valet guys took some cash from my truck. I had $35 in my center console. I even locked it with the key, but kind of ironic. They had the key to open it.. Many other things in there worth more than the $35 cash, guess it was just the easiest thing to take. Disappointing!

Cons: Very unfriendly to families - no reasonably priced restaurants nearby, no breakfast buffet, no microwaves in rooms or otherwise available.
Location: Very little to do nearby, especially in the evenings or weekends. No near restaurants except the one in the hotel and one across the hotel drive.
I had a meeting at the Convention Center only two blocks away from the Westin. The Westin was not a Convention Center-oriented hotel - it did not even have doors that opened in the direction of the Convention Center. Houston is in a building boom and the streets around the Center and between it and the hotel were all torn up and I kept having to cross and re-cross streets because the sidewalks were closed. Most entrances to the Center that were at the Westin end were locked. I had to go four blocks extra to get in and then walk four blocks back inside the Center to get to my meeting, most of the outdoor walking being done in the rain. There were also numerous vagrants between hotel and Convention Center, one of whom followed me for over a block while asking for money. If I have another Houston meeting, I will stay at the Hilton, which is directly connected to the Convention Center.

Fast check in, clean, comfortable room, quiet, close walk (1/2 mile) to Toyota Center, friendly staff, no pool.
