Place is very nice-Staff was underwhelming

When you pay elite prices for a "resort" you expect a higher level of customer service. Upon driving up to check in, we were not greeted by the staff near the door. We had to ask where check in was and if we should leave the car there, etc. We were incorrectly informed several things: the Valet staff doesn't have Taxi info, the front desk doesn't have transportation info either. When we went into the breakfast area to eat, we were waiting for about 5 minutes for the Host/Hostess to seat us with several staff members passing us without saying a word leaving us to wonder if we should seat ourselves, or if we were waiting on the appropriate person to seat us. The breakfast was really good and the service afterwards, fine. The pool area is awesome, the grounds beautiful, and the room was nice. When we asked for the pool hours, the Valet told us the Pool opened at 10am (Sunday) and that was incorrect. We saw that the staff needed better training on greeting guests on the moment of contact, and the next thing is asking how they could help. Also, we were pointed in different directions for who could give us taxi/Transportation info-this should be able to come from Front desk staff, valet, and transporation staff-not referred in circles running back and forth everywhere. While we enjoyed our room, the staff left us feeling underwhelmed, and if they were busy, I would understand, but when there are 3-4 staff members standing around not helping-at a "resort" it's frustrating.

Family fun

Cons: Food service by the pool
Family of 2 on a weekend stay-cation. The pool is wonderful, it was busy but we were always able to find chairs to relax on. I would imagine this becomes more and more of an issue as summer approaches. Service from the cafe is incredibly slow. Both days the waitresses said that they were very short staffed. Not sure if they were caught by surprised with the crowd, but overall service in that area needs drastic improvement. Food and drinks by the pool were tasty once you received them. Kids loved the water slides and lazy river. Room was clean, comfortable and we had a beautiful course view out of back door.

Pleasantly surprised

Room was great (clean, ample size, comfy beds), as all have been recently redone. In room fridge is a nice size. Pool and waterpark are great family fun. Poolside bar and breakfast buffet are reasonably priced and of good quality.

good resort, but...

Very nice resort hotel. good food, good service, very nice efficient staff and nice set of swimming pools. Rooms were clean and quiet and comfortable, but need three things; a written directory for the resort with directions, hours, prices, etc.; light bulbs which work in every socket; potable coffee. For some reason, perhaps the water, the coffee in the fine new makers was just awful, and I wasn't the only one who noticed this.

Best get away in Texas!

Wow, so awesome!! WE loved it. Everything about this place is amazing. I can't wait to go back and stay for 4-5 days and really enjoy all the resort has to offer.

Nice Hotel and awesome resort and landscaping

Location: water slides and pools the pool room
single mother of two and my boys loved the resort, wish I could of tried the spa. but everything was good except an issue I ran into the hotel room something wasn't cleaned and removed in tone of the cabinets but everything was awesome.

rocking resort

We stayed for a concert at the Pavillion. They had our room ready early which made it easier for us to get our concert on time. Can't wait to go back for a few days to enjoy the pool and lazy river

Very nice rooms, very clean, great view of golf.

Pros: nice rooms, golf and fitness center.
Cons: online checkout perhaps, I didn't get the Root Sports Channel which I would have liked. Robard's menu in room would have been good too.
Location: mall, shopping, golf, etc...
Weekend getaway with the wife for anniversary, very relaxing, spa and fitness center were under construction which we wanted to take advantage of but the facilities were very nice, rooms very modern and clean with great view of golf course. We had an AC unit out in our room but they quickly responded and moved us to another room very nearby and the tech was very friendly.
