Very nice hotelPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: good night's sleep
Cons: hotel staff would not win any awards for friendliness
We stayed a couple of nights over the holiday. Very comfortable beds, clean room but a little tight. Nice easy to access location.

Would definitely stay againPosted Sep 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Had events to attend in Ann Arbor but most hotels in the area were booked due to parent's weekend/football game so chose to stay in Brighton. Worked out great! Knew nothing about the area so was pleasantly surprised with the convenience and ease of getting around. The hotel was in a terrific location, surrounded by basically ANYTHING you would be looking for and easy access to major highways. Room was very comfortable and breakfast decent. Would most definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our 2-night stay!Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness and comfortable beds.
Cons: The desk clerks were not very friendly.
Location: Close to the state park where our event was held, close to Meijer amd IHOP, Starbucks, etc.
The Hotel was close to the Brighton State Park where we attended our family reunion. There are stores nearby where we were able to pick up supplies, and IHOP right next door! The room and bathroom were nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable, which is what we were there for. There was no microwave but the fridge was helpful. The breakfast buffet was great. We plan to stay here again when we come to our next family reunion!

Slept on a couch bed with springs going through my back and when I told the manager she well ok I'll bring you som foam. Foam don't cut it. I asked for an other room and wanted more money. Never happened no foam no apology. Will never recommend this hotel.

disappointed in what they call a 'suite'Posted Aug 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
Booked a suite, thinking there would be ample room for my husband, myself, and teen age stepson. Was disappointed there wasn't two rooms or two TVs. Asked staff and apparently the 'suite' on hotels.com is only a PARTIAL suite, I guess their REAL suite isn't even offered as an option on this website. Suite was cramped, could barely get to bathroom with pull out sofa bed out, and sofa bed was one of worst I've ever felt. Very disappointed for the price, would have been better off paying less for two queen beds and skipping 'suite'. Room was clean, safe area, and near where we needed to be.

Very nice, Good locationPosted Jul 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very nice facility. Spotless, well-kept, felt new. Breakfast was a full-on breakfast complete with eggs and bacon, not just a bunch of boxed carbs. Front desk was very helpful and pleasant. Location convenient to everything, and felt very safe.

Very comfortable stayPosted Jul 8, 2014
I'm not a frequent traveller, so my expectations are high. This overnight stay made me think about another visit.

OK place to stay - lots of restaurants near byPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Very comfortable beds, fresh smelling linens
Cons: Make sure tub drains quickly and light bulbs changed so they're nice and bright.
Location: Lots of restaurants nearby, many within walking distance - IHOP one of my favorites. Shopping, too, like Home Depot and Target.
My husband and I usually stay at B&B's but with an unexpected event, we had to make quick arrangements. I stayed in HIE in Howell, MI about a month ago and had a very good experience there, so I thought the HIE in Brighton would be just as good. Not quite - I think the Howell HIE is better. This location, while convenient for restaurants and shopping, is busy and not as quiet as I'd like. The rooms don't smell quite as fresh as the Howell HIE and the doors close very loudly, almost with a bang, even when one tries to close them slowly. The bathroom seemed rather dark - hard to put on make up without good lighting - and the bathtub was very slow to drain out. The good part is the bed - it was very comfortable and the linens smelled nice and clean. I like having a white bedspread - one can tell if it's clean or not. The staff was very friendly and pleasant and made checking in and out fast and easy. Thank you, staff!
