Pros: PRICE
OK. For the price it is fine. We stayed one night. The microwave worked. The tv worked. The ref worked. The ice machine worked.

Pros: Nothing this time around.
Cons: Serious renovation of your facilities.
Location: Howell is a very nice small community with lots of bars and restaurants.
My entire extended family had stayed at this hotel in the fall of 2006 while attending a funeral in the area. We all had a satisfactory stay. Thusly, we chose this motel for our stay this past weekend. The condition of the rooms has deteriorated considerably since 2006 and it was rather a dive. We had a hot tub room and when the jets were turned on a smell of sewage permeated the room. Turn off the jets and no smell. We drained the tub, showered and spent the night. Staff that clean the rooms seem to do an adequate job cleaning but bedspreads and carpet are old, well worn and grubby. The facility in general seems to be in decay-which is too bad since the layout has a quaint feel, which I like more than the newer motels. However, I will be staying down the road the next time!

Needed a place to stay one night.

Posted Sep 25, 2013
Pros: Price
Cons: Wall paper was loose around the edges. Dirt hadn't been cleaned around edges of bathtub, edges of carpet.
Needed a place to stay one night so I could go kayaking the next day. For the price and what I needed it for, the hotel was okay. The room appeared cheap - needed work on the wallpaper, paint and carpet. More attention to detail regarding cleaning the room was needed to - dirt around edges of carpet, etc..

Hotel not recommended

Posted Sep 9, 2013
When I checked in my room had the wrong size bed so I had to go back to the office and get a new room. I had even called the hotel directly after making my reservation online. All the doors of the rooms said No Smoking however both rooms had a smell of smokers. I had to move the nightstand to plug in my cell phone and found a hat and and pen, clearly the room was not cleaned well before we got there.

cheap hotel close to highway

Pros: Nice area for walking my dog.
Cons: Power wash and clean, paint, replace carpet. Doing those things might get rid of the offensive smoke!
Location: close to I-96 and Brighton Recreation Area
The room reeked of cigarette smoke. When I got home and opened my suitcase, the oder of stale smoke was still present.

Pros: Nice stonework.
Cons: Stained bed covers and blankets and sheets with holes.
Location: Just off the highway and close to town.
We were placed a couple of doors from their store/laundry rooms whose doors were wide open. They looked messy and cluttered. There were people hanging around outside, near our room, smoking. The blanket on one of the beds had cigarette burn holes in it and one of the sheets on the same bed also had a cigarette burn hole. The bed cover on the other bed had a big stain on the underside. The desk clerk at check-in seemed nice. The desk clerk at check-out was nice, also.

O.K. if you just want a place to sleep

Ice machine broken, pool empty, room not very clean. Upside: bed comfortable, no bedbugs, inexpensive.
