Huairou is situated about 30 miles (48 kilometers) from Beijing and 90 miles (145 kilometers) from Tianjin.
It's recommended not to limit your tour to the points of interest in Huairou because the surrounding region has been endowed with a wealth of terrific natural and man-made attractions. Pay a visit to the Taoyuan Fairy Valley and Jiudaowan Canyon in and around Miyun, approximately 12 miles (19 kilometers) to the west of Huairou.
