Budget, clean and friendly

Posted May 26, 2012
Pros: Clean and friendly staff
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Not at central, but only short walk away from night market
Friendly staff. Provide free transfer from train station. We requested a drop off to the train station at the end of the stay at 7:30am, but was told that the drop off service won't start after 8 am, so we have to catch a taxi. Overall, value for money.

Cheap, good service, good starting point for day trips

The hotel is not centrally located, but is a good base for day trips. It's cheap and the staff is helpful, so worth it for the budget traveller.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Hualien, Taiwan! A lovely hotel with comfortable queen-size beds, nice furnishings, and personnel who went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant experience!

Taiwanese take on a quirky European hotel

Posted May 13, 2010
I thought this was quite a pleasant hotel. Staff were very nice--decor is quirky and artsy. Bathroom very new and clean. The breakfast was a little different. They took orders the night before and delivered the breakfast to the room. They had a few Western choices and a few Chinese choices, plus juice, tea or coffee. Not the best hotel breakfast I've ever had but good enough. I recommend this place unless you just have to have an omelet bar and some trendy furniture. Not sure if you can find that in Hualien anyway.
