Beautiful location in the mountains Great hiking and nature. Good food and nice rooms with beautiful view of the gorge Some staff not as gracious to Americans as Asians

Posted Apr 4, 2015 on Hotels

Fraai gelegen en prima hotel

Posted Mar 28, 2015 on Hotels
Mooi!

Must stay hotel for Taroko National Park

Posted Mar 27, 2015 on Hotels
Silks Place is a must for those visiting Taroko National Park in Hualien. The hotel was very modern, had friendly staff, and excellent amenities. We traveled comfortably with our toddler. The children's playroom was the perfect place to take our 20-month old to burn some steam before going out to explore the sights. The hotel arranged for tours, and even for transportation to-and from the train station.

Idyllic Mountain Getaway

Posted Feb 16, 2015 on Hotels
Long story short, there just isn't an alternative to the Silks Place Taroko if you want to stay in Taroko. It's tucked away in the beautiful area of TianXiang with sights within walking distance and anything else a quick drive away. What you get is an all-in package of dining and entertainment including nightly performances and outdoor movies. You can also opt for tours and transportation provided by the property. It's not the most comfortable hotel in the world, but there is no other place that will help you capture the beauty of Taroko like Silks Place.
