All Inclusive is the way to go!!

Posted May 17, 2014
Pros: Staff, food!
Cons: Perhaps it's time to do some cosmetic refurbishing to the bathrooms, I.e, tile floor, I like the incense idea instead of fan, it's energy saving!
Location: The Hotel tour agent offers a number of tours of the area. I recommend the Waterfalls Tour, The Eco/Croc Tour and 7 Bays Tours!!
Dreams Resort Huatulco is so far the best all inclusive resort I have stayed in Mexico! 1. Decent clean food offers variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. 2. Service by all hotel staff was always courteous & attentive (even though most guests do not tip) 3. Resort grounds are ample. Just returned from 5 days at this resort in Huatulco and it seems that rains and stormy weather was coming early in May, so unfortunately, the beach was not always comfortable as the tide became quite high and ocean waves became dangerous to swim in. Two infinity pools over the beach were nice to be in overlooking the beach/ocean? I was told by staff that the public beach in the near town of Santa Cruz (a 10-15 min taxi ride) ocean is calmer as a pool and shallow for a few feet, great for swimming! 3. Our 2 double Tropical View room, was quite comfortable, bathroom had two sinks, nice rain shower head, a small lanai or patio overlooking one of the several pools, as we were on the lower level by choice. Nice bedding, bathrobes and slippers were provided, nice amenities. 4. Grounds are kept very clean. 5. Most importantly, my friend and I were a bit concerned about getting stomach sick, well we did not and ate to our hearts content, even salads and fresh seafood. Great thing about all inclusive resorts is that no money is exchanged there, drinks are bar are handsomely prepared, anything you want! Nightly entertainment at the Teatro was always great! I shall return to Huatulco!!

Nice all inclusive by the beach

Pros: Location, food, staff
Cons: Don't use the tour company at the hotel - Amstar. Extremely expensive, you will have to sign a waver to release them of all sorts of responsibilities
Location: Bays, downtown, waterfalls,...
Friendly staff, our suite was great and had great sea views. Food was excellent!

Dreams is a dream come true. Beautiful, wonderful service, something for all ages. This was my second time here and I highly recommend. If you want to be in a place without children, Secrets look great too. Ill try that next time.

Will never go back

Pros: Not much
Cons: Go to another restaurant
Location: Good location but useless with the service and hotel quality
No hot water for 3 days. The food was terrible. Only 2 waitress for a crowded swimming pool to avoid consumption. The drinks where not prepared with the alcohol offered.

Dreams

Pros: The food on mexican day was wonderful, otherwise it was buffet style tasteless american food.
Cons: The service. Staff needs to be attentive to guests needs and not just shrug their shoulders and show no concern.
Location: Regular excursions near by. Dont book with hotel, excursions wayyy cheaper on beach and just as safe....
The hotel was clean overall. The hotel staff are not as accomodating as other hotels we have stayed in. They were often out of items asked, in regards to food. They seldom attempted to.accomodate requests. There attitude towards the client is not satisfying, there are careless. The hotel is nice, but the service is lacking.

Great hotel stay

Posted Aug 9, 2013
Pros: The spa, the view, the privacy, the friendliness of the staff.
Cons: The door to the toilet in the room is see-through, which doesn't give you sufficient privacy.
Location: Snorkle, scuba diving, fishing, hiking, ATVs, beach, visiting a turtle and crocadile sanctuary, visiting the coffee growing region of Pluma.
The hotel is perfect for couples with no children. The spa is one of the best I've been to. Upon arrival you get a delicious welcome drink and a nice cold towel. I got sick when I was there, but the hotel doctor was great and available 24/7. The beach is lovely and the sea is clean. The food at the restaurants is excellent, especially the French restaurant and the Asian fusion restaurant. They also have a small, but nice gym with new equipment.

Pros: Rooms,
Cons: Restaurant Staff needs better training.
Location: Location still not so commercialized, many activities. I recommend deep sea fishing for at least one day.
Paradise like, will definitely recommend to everybody, the city of Santa Cruz is most beautiful and clean town I have ever visited.

Pros: Staff is very friendly, rooms are very clean and comfortable, the quality of bathroom toiletries is excellent, I loved the variety of restaurants.
Cons: the disco lounge.
Location: The hotel is close to an archeological site and there is a cute little town a few miles away.
We were able to relax and practice kayaking, we enjoyed the food and drinks. Next to the beach.

Amazing Trip

Posted May 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
I've previously stayed at other all-inclusive hotels; however, this one just blew my mind. I was not only surprised by the super clean rooms (cleaned at least twice a day), but also I was surprised the drinks offered were actually good. The food was terrific, from buffets to a la cartè menus. It was so convenient to just show up wherever we wanted and enjoy a delicious (and gotta tell you, sometimes surprisingly fancy) meal. Overall, I ultra recommend this hotel. Staff is super friendly and there is always something going on to keep you entertained. or you can just stayed at your room and order room service if you feel like just relaxing all day (there is also a great menu available for room service). So if you are planning to stay at Dreams Huatulco, Be ready to have a great time, dont forget to try as many drinks as you want and I can assure you that you will be very surprised with everything the hotel has to offer.
