Time to change hotels!

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: Not a lot this trip.
Cons: your staff needs to have some semblance of control.
I have stayed at the Comfort Inn for many years when visiting family. I think it is time to move on. Dealing with loud, drunken idiots in the hallways at night, 9 pre teen girls with pool toys in the hot tub (local birthday party in banquet room), was just a little more than I would like to deal with. I felt like I offended the front desk personnel when I called.

Hotel nice but loud

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Hotel was nice but guests were loud. Hockey team in house made it very noisy. They were running up and down halls at 11:00 at night. I did call the front desk to complain and the noise went down some but I would think that if you have quiet hours, the staff should enforce it. They could certainly hear the noise since we were close to the front desk. People should not have to complain in order to enjoy a good night sleep. Also, the TV was very old and needed an explanation as to how it worked. Just a little odd to actually have a hotel without a flat screen - especially having cost over $100.00 a night.

Better than staying at Treasure Island!

Posted Jan 6, 2015
We chose to stay a distance away from Treasure Island Casino on New Year's Eve and the Country Inn was our educated choice. We had tickets to see Foreigner at the Casino on New Year's Eve and wanted to be able to distance ourselves from the casino following the concert. Though there were several options and directions we could go for a place to stay, we chose the reputation of Country Inns and Suites over the others. River Falls provided a quiet and quaint place to bring in the New Year. Additionally, the drive of about 35 miles from the Casino was certainly doable. We were back at the hotel shortly after midnight, We had checked in earlier in the day and so had driven the route at least twice before heading that way at midnight. The staff were welcoming, our room was most comfortable, and the Continental breakfast was just right.

Good improvements

Posted Dec 27, 2014
Pros: Convenience to River Falls. Also, a much friendlier staff than our last stay.
Cons: Keep things clean, fixed, and remain friendly and helpful.
We've been staying (hotel has gone through a name change) since the fall of 2000. It was great when it first was built and then went a little south, if you get my drift. But, I am happy to say that it has greatly improved since our last stay in 2013.

Cozy place to stay

Posted Dec 22, 2014
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee is available in the lobby all day and the breakfasts are fairly decent. The best thing about breakfast is it stays open fairly long. This place is a good bet if you're visiting the area and need a quiet place to stay a night. The only real problem I had was that the bed was a little bit soft for my liking but that depends on the person.

Friends and a hotel with benefits in River Falls!

Posted Dec 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
My stay was somewhat planned, somewhat spontaneous. I was staying in River Falls to see a show put on by the University, and then returning to the hotel to relax. The bed was large and VERY comfortable, the jacuzzi felt a little cramped, but became very enjoyable, and the shower & TV were all great! The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent! Both my friend & I had a fantastic time!

The hotel was a little frayed around the edges but everything was clean and neat, and the employees were very pleasant and helpful.

Highly recommend

This is a great little hotel on the edge of town with a lot to offer. The indoor pool area is clean and larger than upscale hotels that offer an indoor pool. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating and the breakfast they offer is your typical continental breakfast with hot waffles to start your day. My only issue was a mix up with the billing between hotels.com and the hotel itself and I ended up being double billed. When I contacted the hotel they were very quick to realize the mistake and credit my card. So even when an error is made, they are quick to respond and correct the issue. So it certainly wasn't an issue for long. Great customer service!
